Tay Foo Wei (Chinese :郑福威; pinyin :Zhèng Fúwēi, born 4 June 1982), better known as Augustus Wong, is a Singaporean online personality and wrestling enthusiast.

At the age of 27, Tay travelled to Bangkok, Thailand to have breast implants. [1] He removed them after 3 years. [2]

Education

Tay studied in the Normal (Academic) stream in secondary school, however he only passed two subjects in his GCE 'O' Level examinations. After secondary school, he enrolled in the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) but dropped out after about a month. [3]

Career

In 2010, Tay founded his own company, "4ever Escort Agency" in Yishun, Singapore. However, Tay claims that the business went under shortly after, citing fierce competition and gambling losses as the causes. [4]

In 2012, he produced a music video titled "Li Ni Er Qu" (Chinese :离你而去; pinyin :Lí Nǐ Ér Qù, [5] composed by his colleague at KBox. [6]

In 2013, Tay created a Youtube channel with his own name. As of February 2024, he has accumulated over 5,000 followers and posted over 12,000 videos. [7]

Charges

On 1 November 2023, Tay was charged in the State Courts of Singapore for allegedly distributing an intimate photo and video of a woman performing a sex act without the woman's consent, sending them to users in Telegram and in two chat groups. Tay alleged that the woman had leaked private videos of him, which motivated him to retaliate. [8] [9] He returned to court on 16 November to face the charges. [10]

On 11 December, it was announced that Tay would be facing more charges. Tay also hired a lawyer, Rohit Kumar Singh from Regal Law. [11] On 10 January, his additional charges were read out, including a harassment charge. [9]

On multiple occasions, Tay was heckled when he emerged from the State Courts' front doors. [12] [11] [10] Through his lawyer, Tay mentioned that the harassing and heckling had caused grief to his family, and he would be making police reports. [9]

Personal life

In 2013, Tay married Kim Ngan. They had a son in 2018 and a daughter in 2021. [13] Tay had previously indicated to his followers that he was dissatisfied with his marriage, not by direct admission but rather through his procurement of sexual services through other parties.

Tay Kexin is a Singaporean singer-songwriter. She is the younger sister of Tay Kewei. She is currently a member of the Asian Pop-rock vocal band MICappella. She is also an entrepreneur and the founder of Sparkle Live Music along with her elder sister Kewei and the keyboardist Lee Ein Ein.

On 15 September 2003, two Singaporean students and flatmates Tay Chow Lyang (郑潮亮) and Tony Tan Poh Chuan (陈宝川), were found brutally murdered in their flat in Sydney. The boys' fellow classmate and friend Ram Puneet Tiwary, also a Singaporean, was accused of these two violent murders. The case, dubbed the "Sydney double murders" in media, made headlines in both Singapore and Australia.

On 30 October 2010, at Downtown East, Singapore, 19-year-old Darren Ng Wei Jie, a Singaporean student from Republic Polytechnic, was slashed by 12 youths from a rival gang after a staring incident between one of Ng's friends and one of these youths attacking him. Ng suffered from 28 knife wounds and died in Changi General Hospital five hours after the incident. The case was classified as murder, and the police arrested all the suspects. Six of them were charged with murder, but all except one were sentenced to serve lengthy jail terms with caning for culpable homicide, while the others were sentenced to varied jail terms and caning for rioting.

Qi Wannian, or Qiwannian, was an ethnic Di chieftain and rebel leader during the Western Jin dynasty of China. On 19 July 2021, a thirteen-year old Secondary One male student named Ethan Hun Ze Kai was struck to death with a fire fighting axe at River Valley High School in Boon Lay, Singapore, in an incident which was reportedly unprecedented in the history of Singapore. The killer was a sixteen-year-old Secondary Four male student, who was arrested for Ethan's murder shortly afterwards. The boy was initially charged with murdering Ethan; his charge was eventually reduced to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, and he was thus sentenced to jail for 16 years on 1 December 2023.

On 10 May 2020, 38-year-old assistant manager Tay Rui Hao was attacked by another person while he was jogging in the night along Punggol Field. Tay, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was able to call the ambulance, but he died at Sengkang General Hospital after reaching there. The police investigations led to the arrest of 20-year-old Surajsrikan Diwakar Mani Tripathi. Surajsrikan was charged with murder a week after killing Tay, and the motive of his crime was supposedly due to the negative emotions he harboured over his father abandoning his family 21 years before on the same date he killed Tay.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Prosecution of S. Iswaran</span> Lawsuit against S Iswaran for corruption

Public Prosecutor v. S Iswaran is a case brought by the Attorney-General of Singapore against Singaporean former politician Subramaniam Iswaran, who faces 35 charges of "obtaining gratification as a public servant", corruption, and obstructing justice. The lawsuit was precipitated by an investigation of Iswaran's dealings with Malaysian billionaire Ong Beng Seng by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) that officially began on 11 July 2023 and ended sometime before 9 January 2024.

On 22 January 1995, 63-year-old taxi driver Tay Chin Wah fired a revolver at two men, Lee Yang Ping and Soh Keng Ho, who both confronted Tay's girlfriend over a debt she owed to Lee, who was a moneylender. Tay was said to have committed the shooting out of anger over his girlfriend's predicament, and the shooting left Lee injured, and he survived with timely medical intervention. Tay was arrested in Malaysia and brought back for trial five years later, and in February 2001, he was sentenced to death under the Arms Offences Act on charges of illegally discharging his firearm with intent to cause harm. Tay's appeal was dismissed, and he was hanged on 26 October 2001.
