Kyzyl-Kyshtak is a village in Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is part of the Kara-Suu District. [1] Its population was 11,971 in 2021. [2] It is around 5 km north of the centre of the city of Osh, and just a few kilometers from the Uzbek border.

The land rises southward to the mountains on the southern border: the Alay Mountains in the east, and the Turkestan Range in the west. Its total area is 17,048 km2 (6,582 sq mi). The resident population of the region was 548,247 as of January 2021. The region has sizeable Uzbek and Tajik minorities.

Kadamjay is a city located in Kadamjay District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 14,049 in 2021. It is the administrative seat of Kadamjay District. Kadamjay is located between the towns of Aydarken (Khaidarkan) and Kyzyl-Kyya, and north of the Uzbek exclave Shohimardon. The river Shohimardonsoy passes through Kadamjay.

The Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic, also known as the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic or Kirgiz Soviet Socialist Republic, was one of the constituent republics of the Soviet Union (USSR) from 1936 to 1991. It was also known by the names Kyrgyzstan and Soviet Kyrgyzstan in the Kyrgyz language, and as Kirghizia and Soviet Kirghizia in the Russian language. Landlocked and mountainous, it bordered Tajikistan and China to the south, Uzbekistan to the west and Kazakhstan to the north. The Kirghiz branch of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union governed the republic from 1936 until 1990.

Kojo-Keleng is a mountain village in Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is part of the Kara-Suu District. It lies in the valley of the river Jiptiksuu, a tributary of the Ak-Buura. Its population was in 2,224 in 2021.

Masy is a large village in Jalal-Abad Region, Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 19,774 in 2021. It is the seat of the Masy ayyl aymagy and Nooken District. The Bishkek - Osh highway passing through Massy goes west to Kochkor-Ata and east to Bazar-Korgon and Jalal-Abad city.

Kan-i-Gut cave is a geological protected area located at north slopes of Turkestan Range in Batken District, Batken Region, Kyrgyzstan. The cave consists of 18 large caverns, deep cavities, narrow passageways and tunnels. It is 6,000 metres (20,000 ft) long and 100 metres (330 ft) deep. From the 6th to the 11th century the cave served as a lead and iron mine. Silver and other metals and minerals were also mined here at the time. The first miners in the cave were Arabs, so the Chinese continued, and much later during World War II, Soviet political prisoners mined here.

The Oy-Kayyng Botanical Reserve is located in Alay District of Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan. It was established in 1975 to protect the habitat of endemic Ostrowskia magnifica. The botanical reserve occupies 50 hectares.

Ennafa Vasilievna Nikitina was a Soviet botanist, taxonomist of higher plants and specialist in the flora of Kyrgyzstan. She was an Honored Scientist of Kyrgyz SSR and an author of more than 80 scientific papers, including four monographs.

The Kyrgyz State History Museum is a museum located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The museum contains literally thousands of exhibits about the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people, whose sculptures and objects date from antiquity to the end of the 20th century. It is one of the most important museums in Central Asia.

Tursunkhon Solieva (1922-2001) was an artist of the Osh State Academic Uzbek Music and Drama Theater named after Bobur, People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan, made a great contribution to the development of culture and art in Kyrgyzstan.

Frunze is a village in Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is part of the Nookat District. Its population was 6,628 in 2021.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Alla Anorov</span>

Alla Anorov was a cotton farmer and kolkhoz movement activist in the Kyrgyz SSR who was twice awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor for record harvests. In addition to his work in agriculture he held positions in the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
