Lake Bennet, also spelled Bennett and also known as Lake Blanchard, is a somewhat kidney-shaped natural freshwater lake in Orange County, Florida. Florida State Road 50 (West Colonial Drive) travels over the south end of this lake. On the lake's northeast is the Lake Bennett Health & Rehabilitation Center. [4] This lake is surrounded by commercial properties.

The lake has a fountain on the south end. There are no public boat ramps or swimming areas on this lake. The Hook and Bullet website says this lake contains largemouth bass, bream, bluegill and crappie. [5]

Lake Summit is a natural freshwater lake in Winter Haven, Florida. It has a 65.97-acre (267,000 m2) surface area and is somewhat oval in shape. It has two small coves on its north side. This lake is surrounded by residences around most of its perimeter. It has a public park, Lake Summit Park, on part of its west side, and Legoland Florida's water park is on its southeast shore. A boat canal on the south side of Lake Summit leads to Lake Eloise.

Lake Mariam is roughly oval in shape and is on the northeast side of Winter Haven, Florida. The Polk County Water Atlas says sometimes the lake is known as Lake Marion, but a different Lake Marion is also in Polk County, Florida, where Lake Mariam is located. It has a surface area of 200 acres (809,371 m2) and is bordered on the west side, most of the south side and part of the north side by residential areas. Brandywine Health Care Center, a nursing home, is a block north of the lake. On the northwest and southwest Lake Mariam is bordered by woods and on most of the east side of the lake are woods and pastureland. On the lake's southeast side is a swampy area.

Lake Dexter, which is somewhat apostrophe shaped, is a natural freshwater lake in southeast Winter Haven, Florida. This lake has a 166-acre (670,000 m2) surface area. It is bounded on the east and northeast by residences, on the north by commercial property, on the northwest by residences and along its entire southwest and southern shore area by grassland. A partially completed and abandoned residential project is in the grassland at the very south side of Lake Dexter. Parts of the shore around the lake are lined by swampy areas.

Lake Wimauma, on the south side of the town of Wimauma, Florida, could be considered two lakes, basically round in shape. When the water level is high, they are connected by a short narrow channel. The south part of the lake is much larger than the northern part. Lake Wimauma has a 108-acre (440,000 m2) surface area. To the north of the northern part is Florida State Route 674. The entire lake is surrounded by trees, grassland and a scattering of residences. Although the lake is in a rural area, Hillsborough County, Florida, is the home of Tampa, Florida.

Crystal Lake is a circular natural freshwater lake, with a small cove on its northwest corner, on the south side of Winter Haven, Florida. It has a 35.93-acre (145,400 m2) surface area. This Crystal Lake is one of seven Crystal Lakes in Polk County, Florida. The Polk County Water Atlas says it is also sometimes called Lake Cunningham. Crystal Lake is bordered on the north and northwest by residences. The rest of the lake is bordered by citrus groves or vacant land.

Lake McLeod, sometimes also called McLeod Lake, is somewhat oval in shape. This lake is a natural freshwater lake with a 410-acre (1,700,000 m2) surface area. Lake McLeod is bordered on the north by the town of Eagle Lake, Florida. Here it is bordered by residential areas. It is bordered on the northeast and east the lake is bordered by residences. On the south it is bordered by grassland and citrus orchards.

Lake Shipp is located on the Chain of Lakes in Winter Haven, Florida. It is almost round in shape. This lake is a natural freshwater lake with a 276-acre (1,120,000 m2) surface area. This lake is bordered on the north, northwest and the southwest sides by residential areas. On the east and part of the southeast are warehouses and business buildings. William G. Roe Park is on the southeast shore and Sertoma Park, officially called Lake Shipp Park, is on the west side of Lake Shipp.

Lake Fannie, is a natural freshwater lake on the northeast side of Winter Haven, Florida. This lake has an 802-acre (3,250,000 m2) surface area. Much of its shoreline area is swamplike, but the rest of the lake is free of surface vegetation. Lake Idyl is bordered on the north by Polk County Road 544, on part of the east side by a residential area and on most of the rest of its shoreline by woods.

Grassy lake, also sometimes called Lake Grassy, is a long, narrow lake south of the city of Lake Placid, Florida. It has a surface area of 529.91-acre (2,144,500 m2). This lake's shore is 90% surrounded by development, mainly single-family housing. A small section of the southwest shore is bordered by U.S. Route 27.

Blue Lake, an almost-round lake, has a surface area of 33.76 acres (13.66 ha). This lake is south of Sebring, Florida, and inside the southeast part of Highlands Hammock State Park. The area immediately surrounding it is rural, but there are housing developments scattered through the area in which the lake is located.

Lake Placid, a gourd-shaped lake, has a surface area of 3,406.03 acres (13,783,700 m2). This lake is south of the city of Lake Placid, Florida; it is just outside the south city limits of the city. The Clermont chain of lakes is a chain of lakes centered on Clermont, Florida. The chain is orientated from southeast to northwest and fed primarily by streams and groundwater flow. They make up the middle part of the Palatlakaha River watershed which forms the headwaters of the Ocklawaha River. The lakes are notable for their red to tea-colored water from tannic acid.

Park Lake is an almost round 8.8-acre (36,000 m2) freshwater lake located within Orlando, Florida. This lake is in a residential area.

Silver Lake is an almost circular, natural freshwater lake in Lake County, Florida. Silver Lake Drive surrounds the lake. Much of it is surrounded by residences and private boat and fishing docks, which dot the lake. On the northeast is Silver Lake Country Club, on the southeast is the Lake-Sumter State College campus and a flight line of Leesburg International Airport. Also, inside the end of the flight line is the Leesburg Dog Park. All of the lake is inside the city of Silver Lake, Florida.

Hickorynut Lake, also known sometimes as Little Hickorynut, is a natural freshwater lake on the northwest side of Walt Disney World, in Orange County, Florida. This lake has an irregular shape and much of it is surrounded by land that floods easily. On the east side of the lake is Florida State Road 429, a toll highway. Some residential areas are now bordering it.
