Lake Nona High School is a public high school in the Orange County Public Schools district of Orlando, Florida, United States. It was a relief school for Odyssey Middle School, Cypress Creek High School, and Oak Ridge High. Lake Nona High School stands as one of the more challenging schools in Orange County due to its rigorous academic workload, significantly high AP Enrollment and its open dual enrollment program through Valencia College. In addition to the school's collegiate focus, students have the ability to attend a fast track nursing program, Health Science Academy starting their freshmen year. The School rating has repeatedly received a high 'A' since 2012. Lake Nona also has a graduation rate of 97.7%.
Construction began in August 2007 and was completed in June 2009. Its first principal, Dr. A. Robert "Rob" Anderson, was originally principal at Edgewater High.
For its opening year, Nona served grades 6–11. [2] Middle school students moved to their own campus, Lake Nona Middle School, in the 2011–12 school year leaving Lake Nona High School to serve only grades 9–12.
In Spring of 2012, Lake Nona High School allowed Valencia College students to go there while the new Valencia College was being built. The students from Valencia College were there until the new building was fully constructed in August 2012. [3]
The school's mascot is a lion and the school colours are navy blue, silver, and white. The 377,000-square-foot (35,000 m2) campus includes ten buildings consisting of one and two-story concrete, tilt-wall construction housing administration, classrooms, art and music rooms, kitchen, multi-purpose and dining facility, auditorium, gymnasium, playing fields and outdoor activity areas.
The 2018–2019 School Year had 25.8% white students, 56.2% hispanic students, 9.0% black students, 5.5% Asian students, 3.5% mixed/other race students. They also had 43.9% male enrollment and 56.1% female enrollment.
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is a public research university with its main campus in unincorporated Orange County, Florida. It is part of the State University System of Florida. With 68,442 students as of the fall 2022 semester, UCF has the fourth-largest on-campus student body of any public university in the United States. UCF is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity" and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Valencia College is a public college in Orlando, Florida. The college is part of the Florida College System. The college was founded in 1967 as Valencia Junior College and changed its name in 2010 because the academic scope of the school had expanded to include bachelor's degrees. Valencia has several campus locations in Orlando with additional campus locations in Winter Park and Kissimmee.

Edgewood College is a private Dominican college in Madison, Wisconsin. The college occupies a 55 acres (22 ha) campus overlooking the shores of Lake Wingra.
Freedom High School is located in Orlando, Florida. It is one of twenty public high schools in Orange County. The school was established in 2003 in order to relieve crowding at nearby Cypress Creek High School; like other relief high schools, they share a rivalry. It is a rivalry dubbed as the South Orange Classic. Freedom's feeder schools are Freedom Middle School, Hunter's Creek Middle School and West Ridge Middle School in Oak Ridge. The current principal is Mr. Charles France. It has nearly identical campus layouts as Olympia High School and Timber Creek High School. Lake Brantley High School in neighboring Seminole County has similar colors and nickname.

Lake Nona Medical City is a 650-acre (260 ha) health and life sciences park in Orlando, Florida, United States. It is located near Orlando International Airport and within the master-planned community of Lake Nona. The city is home to the University of Central Florida's Health Sciences Campus, which includes the university's College of Medicine and Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences. In the future, the campus will also house UCF's University of Central Florida College of Nursing, the University of Central Florida College of Dental Medicine, and a teaching hospital.
