The show focuses on ambitious Mahalakshmi, who is determined to make a name for herself.
Actress Shruthi Raj [4] was cast in the female lead role of Mahalakshmi, marking her return after Thalattu . Actor Sanjeev Venkat was cast in the male lead role of Selvam. He was replaced by actor SSR Aryan [5] Actress Sruthi Shanmuga Priya was cast as Viji. [6] [7]
The first promo was released on 1 March 2024 featuring all of the main cast. [8] The show debuted on Sun TV on 18 March 2023, taking Aruvi's time slot. [9]
Playback and Carnatic singer, Saindhavi Prakash, sang the opening theme song track, in her second collaboration with Shruthi Raj, after singing the opening theme of the serial Thalattu. [10]
