Langhani (Urdu : لنگہانی) is a Baloch tribe (sect) [1] in Sibi District of Balochistan, Pakistan. Langhani is a sub tribe of Marri tribe, Ghazani.[ citation needed ]

Laghani is the sub tribe of the Guzani Marri and Guzani is the sub tribe of Marri also Nawab Khair Bux Marri belongs to Guzani Marri. The chief of Laghani is wadera Dost Ali Marri. The Laghani tribes live in three different areas district Sibi, Tahseel Kanhaan and district Kohlu Marri.

Kohlu is a district of the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is bounded in the north by Loralai District, Dera Bugti in the south, in the east Rojhan-Mazari and Sibi District in the west. According to the 1998 census of Pakistan it had a population of 99,850. The most widely spoken first languages are Balochi (91%) and Pashto (6.6%). The major ethnic groups in kohlu includes Marri and Zarkoon.

Marri is one of the strongest Baloch tribes in Balochistan, Pakistan. The Marri tribe has three major sub-clans; Gazeni, Bijarani and Lohrani.they date back to 900 years.previously they were a sub tribe of rind but due to tne stuborness and honour of bijar they refused to march further ahead with king chakar and stayed back in kohlu district.it was previously occupied by phatan, zarkoon and other pashtoon tribes which were driven out by the marri tribe, who then slowly conquered kholu. they are one of the strongest tribes in balochistan. It is said that no one has ever seen the back of Marri in the battle field. Marri is also one of those tribes in Pakistan to have fought the british in a valiant manner.

The Bazai is a Pashtun tribe settled in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Bazai Tribe is the sub-cast of Kakar tribe living in the western and southern region of Quetta District, Pishin, Ziarat and Sibi districts of Balochistan. The tribe is mainly settled in the mountainous regions, including the Maslagh, Zarghoon, Takatoo mountains of Quetta.

Bahawalanzai is a sub clan of Marri Baloch tribe. It is also known as "Sardar" of the tribe because the Sardar (leader) of Marri tribe belongs to this clan of the tribe in Balochistan, Pakistan. In the 2012 census, its population was approximately 24,000 people.

Marri-Bugti Country was a tribal region during the British occupation of Baluchistan. Marris and Bugtis are the strongest Baloch tribes in the Balochistan. The Marris occupied 8,460 square kilometres (3,268 sq mi) in the north, while the Bugtis occupied 10,000 square kilometres (3,861 sq mi) in the south. Today, the region is divided into three districts: Kohlu, Dera Bugti and Sibi.

Jarwar is a sub-tribe from the Gazini branch of Marri Baloch. Although some families of Jarwar are still living in their native place near Kahan but they are now split into various groups and living in many areas of Balochistan, Sindh and Southern Punjab. Many Jarwar elders considered this displacement from their native land and splitting into various groups is the result of many problems including tribal disputes, property disputes, shortage of food for men and their animals, search of peace and food are main reasons for migration and settle at new places.

The Anglo-Marri Wars is the name given to three major military conflicts between the Marri Baluch tribesmen and the British Empire in the independent eastern Baloch tribal belt. The conflicts took place in the 19th and 20th centuries, specifically in 1840, 1880 and 1917.

Luni, pronounced "Looni", is a village in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is located about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) north of the city of Sibi in Sibi District of Balochistan Province, at an altitude of 495 feet (151 m).

The term "Balailzai (Palari)" refers to a Pashtun tribe in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Another name for the tribe of Palari is Balailzai. Like other Pashtuns, they have Eastern Iranian genetic and ethnolinguistic heritage. They descended from Gharghasht, one of Qais Abdur Rashīd's sons. Most are settled in parts of Pakistan or Afghanistan, such as Karachi, Quetta, Musakhail, Dera Ismail Khan, Mardan, Peshawar, Panni, Haripur, Kabul, Tank, Kohat, while there are some communities in the United States, United Kingdom, and other Western countries. They were, at one point in time, were holding main posts in the Government especially during the rule of Bahlol Lodhi. After his reign ended, they scattered and migrated to various parts of the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. Panni are migrated to South India. Palari are Nawab of Kurnool and Nawab of the Carnatic which rule in Mughal Empire. Most of the Panni's are settled in Pakistan.

United Baloch Army is a militant group, fighting for the separation of Balochistan. The group has been designated as a terrorist organisation by the Pakistani government. The government banned the group on 15 March 2013. The group has also been classified as a terrorist organisation by the Switzerland's government.
