Lara Colturi (born 15 November 2006) is an Italian-born Albanian World Cup alpine skier who specializes in technical and speed events. She won the 2022 FIS Alpine Ski South American Cup. [2] [3] [4]
Lara Colturi is the daughter of former Olympic champion Daniela Ceccarelli and ski coach Alessandro Colturi. She was born in Turin and grew up in Cesana Torinese in the Susa Valley. [5] [6] She has one younger brother, Yuri.
Her mother started consulting for the Albanian Ski Federation in 2020, and became Technical Director of their women's alpine team the following season. In May 2022, Colturi received an FIS affiliation with the ASF and she began to represent Albania internationally. [6] [7] [8]
Colturi won the overall, slalom, giant slalom, and alpine combined at the South American Alpine Ski Cup titles. [3] She made her World Cup debut on 22 October 2022 in Sölden in Austria. [9] [10]
On 19 November 2022 during the 2023 Alpine Ski World Cup, Colturi made her slalom debut in Levi, Finland, missing qualifications for the second heat. [11] She finished 17th in the following week in the giant slalom, earning her first points in the Alpine Ski World Cup. [12]
Colturi was the third ever youngest gold medalist at Junior World Championships 2023, in St. Anton, Austria (Super-G). [2]
On 7 February 2023, Lara broke the cruciate ligament in her right knee while training. [13]
She returned to World Cup ski racing in Solden giant slalom October 28, 2023. [14]

Daniela Ceccarelli is an Italian alpine skiing coach and former World Cup Alpine skier.
Tessa Worley is a French former World Cup alpine ski racer and non-commissioned officer. She previously competed in all five alpine disciplines and specialised in giant slalom.
Federica Brignone is an Italian World Cup alpine ski racer. She competes in all alpine disciplines, with a focus on giant slalom and super-G. Brignone won the World Cup overall title in 2020, becoming the first Italian female to achieve this feat. She is also an Olympic and World Championship medalist. At the 2022 Winter Olympics, she won a silver medal in the giant slalom and a bronze in the combined.

The women's overall competition in the 2024 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup consisted of 39 events in four disciplines: downhill (DH), super-G (SG), giant slalom (GS), and slalom (SL). The schedule initially was planned to consist of 45 events, but two downhills on the Matterhorn in mid-November 2023 were cancelled due to high winds and not rescheduled. As noted below in the season summary, four more speed races scheduled for February were also cancelled, reducing the total number of season events to 39.
The women's giant slalom in the 2024 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup included eleven events, including the final. The season opened in Sölden, Austria on 28 October 2023. After an injury to defending champion Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States, the season championship became a battle between Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland and Federica Brignone of Italy, which went down to the last race of the season at the finals in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria before Gut-Behrami triumphed.
