Larissa Franklin (born March 26, 1993) is a Canadian Olympic softball player. [1] [2]
Franklin joined Team Canada in 2011, competing in the 2011 WBSC Junior Women's World Championship in Cape Town, South Africa, where her team finished fifth. [3] After joining the senior team in 2013, Franklin competed in the World Cup of Softball and the WBSC Americas Qualifier, winning a silver medal with her team. [4] Franklin has continued playing for Canada, competing in international events such as the 2014, 2016 and 2018 WBSC Women's Softball World Championships, where she won bronze in the latter two events. [4] In 2015, she and her team competed at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, where they won gold, and in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, where they won silver. [1] In June 2021, Franklin was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team. [5] [6]
Franklin represented Canada at the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup and won a bronze medal. [7]

The United States national baseball team, also known as Team USA represents the United States in international-level baseball competitions. The team is currently ranked 2nd in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The United States has won many international tournaments, many of which are now discontinued. Most notably the team won the Olympic baseball tournament in 2000, and the World Baseball Classic (WBC) in 2017.

They are currently ranked #2 in the world by the International Softball Federation. In four Olympic Games, since 1996 until 2008, Japan has won one gold medal, a silver medal and a bronze medal. The United States women's national softball team is the national softball team of the United States. It is governed by USA Softball and takes part in international softball competitions. The US team has been successful in international play, taking three straight gold medal in Olympic Games and eleven titles in Women's World Cup. At the 2004 Olympics, the Americans held their opponents to only one run scored in 7 games. The lone run came in a 5–1 victory over the Australian team. However, the team then won the silver medals at the 2008 and 2020 Summer Olympics, both times narrowly losing to Japan.

Victoria Gran Hayward is a Canadian Olympic athlete, a professional softball player and the current head coach for the University of Nevada softball program. She played college softball at the University of Washington from 2011 to 2014, professional softball with the National Pro Fastpitch league from 2015 to 2019 and currently competes in the Athletes Unlimited softball league. She is an outfielder who bats and throws left-handed. She has played for the Canadian Senior Women's softball team since June 2009 and was team captain when Canada won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Elsabeth Ann Black is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is a four-time Olympian, having represented her country at the 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 Olympic games. She is the 2017 World all-around silver medallist, making her the first Canadian gymnast to win a world all-around medal, and she led the Canadian women's gymnastics team to a bronze medal in the 2022 World Championships team final, the first world team medal won by a Canadian gymnastics team. She won a silver medal on the balance beam at the 2022 World Championships. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games all-around champion, a two-time Pan American Games all-around champion, and a six-time Canadian national all-around champion. At the 2020 Olympic Games, Black placed fourth in the balance beam final, the highest placement in the Olympics for a female Canadian gymnast.
Kate O'Brien is a Canadian female track cyclist and former bobsledder. She won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
Sydney Pickrem is a Canadian competitive swimmer who competed for Texas A&M University in College Station. A three-time Olympian, she placed sixth in the 200m individual medley at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics as part of the Canadian 4×100 metre medley relay team. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she participated in the women’s 200-meter individual medley and the 200-meter breaststroke, but finished out of medal contention. Kylie Jacqueline Masse is a Canadian competitive swimmer. A noted backstroke specialist, she is a five-time Olympic medallist, three-time World Aquatics champion, three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, and the 2018 Pan Pacific champion in the 100 metre backstroke. She is currently the captain for the Toronto Titans of the International Swimming League.
Allyson "Ally" Nicole Carda is an American professional softball pitcher and first baseman. Carda has been a member of the United States women's national softball team since 2015 and was a member of the UCLA Bruins from 2012 to 2015, earning three First Team All-Pac-12 and back-to-back conference Player of the Year awards. She also earned back-to-back National Fastpitch Coaches Association First Team All-American honors. Carda represented Team USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal.
Sara Angeline Groenewegen is a Canadian professional softball pitcher. From 2014 to 2017, Groenewegen pitched for the University of Minnesota, where she hold the all-time strikeouts and strikeout ratio records. She also currently still ranks for both the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA Division I in the ratio category. She played professionally for the Canadian Wild in the NPF since being drafted second overall in 2017. She most recently played for Athletes Unlimited Softball. She has been a member of the Canada women's national softball team since 2013. Groenewegen helped Team Canada win a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Hannah Margaret McNair "Maggie" Mac NeilOLY, MSc is a former Canadian competitive swimmer. A 100 metre butterfly event specialist, she is the 2020 Olympic champion, 2019 World (LC) champion, two-time World (SC) champion, 2022 Commonwealth champion, and 2023 Pan American champion. She holds the short course world record, the Commonwealth record, and Pan American record in the event.
Eujenna "Jenna" Afrodite Caira is a Canadian, former collegiate All-American, medal-winning Olympian, professional softball pitcher for the Canadian Wild of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). Caira was a starting pitcher for the Syracuse Orange from 2009–12 and holds the career records in wins, shutouts and innings pitched. Additionally, she is the Big East Conference career leader in strikeouts. She has been a member of the Canada women's national softball team since June 2009 and helped them win a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Zoe Hicks is a Canadian softball and baseball player and coach. Hicks is currently a coach with the Los Angeles Dodgers in their technology department. She helped Canada to win a bronze medal in softball at the 2023 Pan American Games. Hicks played softball collegiately with Iowa Western Community College before ending her college career with Louisiana Tech.
