Last Stop Suburbia is Allister's third release on Drive-Thru Records and second studio album, released on October 8, 2002.
In November 2001, Allister played a few US shows with Reel Big Fish. [2] The band planned to enter the studio in December. [3] The band was in the studio from February 18, 2002 and planned to finish on March 18. [4] Instead, the band finished recording on May 9. [5] Sessions were held at Standard Electrical Recorders in Venice Beach, California, with producer and engineer Chris Fudurich; Ryan Baker did additional editing. Steve Evetts mixed the recordings at Trax East in South River, New Jersey, before the album was mastered by Stephen Marcussen at Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood, California. [6]

On June 9, 2002, guitarist John Hamada left the band. [11] Between late June and mid-August, the group went on the 2002 edition of Warped Tour. [12] On August 31, "Overrated" was made available as a free download through the band's MP3.com profile. [13] Originally planned for a June release, [4] before being pushed back to August, [5] then early September due mixing delays. [14] Last Stop Suburbia was made available for streaming on September 25, [15] before it was eventually released on October 8, 2002 through Drive-Thru. [16] In early 2003, the band supported American Hi-Fi on their tour, [17] before embarking on a trek across the US East Coast with Don't Look Down and Fall Out Boy. [18] Between late August and October 2003, the group performed on the Drive-Thru Records 2003 Invasion Tour. [19] In January 2004, the band went on a tour of the UK, with Home Grown, the Early November, and Hidden in Plain View. [20] In May 2004, the band toured the US with Split Habit, Punchline, and Hidden in Plain View. [21]
Last Stop Suburbia charted at number 9 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. [22] The album would go on to sell 80,000 copies. [23] Reviewing the album for AllMusic, Kurt Morris said the album was full of "upbeat, poppy songs" matched with "nice melodies and songs about girls and rock & roll." [1] Morris also said it was "typical Drive-Thru Records pop-punk" fodder. [1] BuzzFeed included the album at number 30 on their "36 Pop Punk Albums You Need To Hear Before You F——ing Die" list. [24] Cleveland.com ranked "Somewhere on Fullerton" at number 74 on their list of the top 100 pop-punk songs. [25]

Sticks and Stones is the third studio album by American pop punk band New Found Glory.
Leaving Through the Window is the second studio album and major-label debut by rock band Something Corporate. Following the success of the Drive-Thru Records-released Audioboxer (2001) EP, the band signed to their label distributor MCA Records in late 2001 after the EP caught their attention. The three-month recording process for Leaving Through the Window took place in studios across California and Florida, with Jim Wirt acting as producer. A few songs from previous releases were re-recorded for inclusion on the album; the material was anywhere from three months to three years old. A music video was made for "If You C Jordan" in early 2002; the group then embarked on a three-month long US tour.

Allister is an American pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois. The four-piece formed in 1994 when the original band members were still in high school, and was originally named Phineas Gage. In 1998 Allister became one of the first bands to sign to Drive-Thru Records. They went on hiatus in 2007, then reunited in 2010, and have been touring and recording again since. They have released six studio albums: Dead Ends and Girlfriends (1999), Last Stop Suburbia (2002), Before the Blackout (2005), Countdown to Nowhere (2010), Life Behind Machines (2012), and 20 Years and Counting (2019). The band also made a cameo appearance in the 2004 film Sleepover.
Finch is an American post-hardcore band from Temecula, California. The band released an EP Falling into Place and two full-length albums, What It Is to Burn and Say Hello to Sunshine before declaring a hiatus in 2006. Finch reformed in 2007, playing a reunion show on November 23 at the Glasshouse in Pomona, California. They released a self-titled EP a year later, and were in the process of writing their third studio album when they disbanded in late 2010. After playing a group of shows commemorating the ten-year anniversary of What It Is to Burn in 2012, Finch signed with Razor & Tie in 2014 and revealed that they were working on a new studio album. The album was titled Back to Oblivion and released on September 30, 2014. In October 2016, Finch announced its third official break up. The band were announced as reforming for the 2023 edition of When We Were Young festival.
What It Is to Burn is the debut album by American rock band Finch. It was released on March 12, 2002, through MCA and Drive-Thru Records. After finalizing their line-up, Finch signed to Drive-Thru. Recording for the album took place between June and September 2001 with producer Mark Trombino. A music video for "Letters to You" was released in January 2003. The title-track "What Is It to Burn" was released as the lead single in January 2003, followed by the single "Letters to You" in April of that year. "New Beginnings"/"What It Is to Burn" was released as the third and final single on a double A-side in August 2003. "Letters to You" charted at number 39 on the UK Singles Chart, while "What It Is to Burn" charted within the top 40 of the US Alternative Songs and Mainstream Rock charts.

Midtown is an American pop punk band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States. Midtown was formed in November 1998 by three Rutgers University students, but quickly became a quartet. The group released three full-length studio albums and three extended plays before disbanding in 2005. In early 2014, Midtown reunited to play three shows, the first as a secret show at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and the two remaining at the Skate And Surf Festival. They reunited for more shows in 2022 as openers on My Chemical Romance's reunion tour.

He is best known for his work as bassist, vocalist, and songwriter in the pop punk band Allister, as well as his solo work released through Universal Music, and his collaboration with Weezer frontman and vocalist Rivers Cuomo through the name Scott & Rivers. Scott is also currently bassist/ vocalist for the Japanese band MONOEYES.
