Reckless Love is a Finnish rock band formed in Kuopio in 2001. They released their debut album in 2010, which reached number 13 in the Finnish charts. After the success of Animal Attraction, Reckless Love released their third album Spirit in 2013, which contained the two singles "Night on Fire" and "So Happy I Could Die". The 2016 album, InVader, was released on 4 March 2016, on the opening night of their European tour with Santa Cruz. Their newest album, Turborider, was released on March 25, 2022. It contains a strong modern synthwave sound which is heard in featured songs; "Eyes of a Maniac" and "Future Lover Boy".

Waxahatchee is an American indie music project, formed in 2010 by American singer-songwriter Kathryn Crutchfield, known professionally as Katie Crutchfield, following the breakup of her previous band P.S. Eliot. The band is named after Waxahatchee Creek, in Alabama, where Crutchfield grew up. Originally an acoustic solo project, her recordings now tend to involve a full backing band. As Waxahatchee, she has released six solo studio albums to date: American Weekend (2012), Cerulean Salt (2013), Ivy Tripp (2015), Out in the Storm (2017), Saint Cloud (2020) and Tigers Blood (2024). Away from Waxahatchee, Crutchfield was also a member of alternative country duo Plains alongside Jess Williamson.

The first single "Inhaler" first aired on 5 November 2012 on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show, with the music video being released later that same day. The second single "My Number" debuted on Later... with Jools Holland on 13 November 2012. The track had its radio debut one month later, also on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show. The music video premiered on 23 January 2013.

The song debuted live on 13 November 2012 during the band's performance on Later... with Jools Holland. A month later to the date, they debuted the album version on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on 13 December, then posted it via their YouTube page later the same day. A few days later, the single was released digitally in Australia on 17 December 2012. The music video premiered on 23 January 2013.

The official video, unveiled on 17 June 2013, was directed by Nabil where visual effects were created by GloriaFX and features lead singer Yannis Philippakis wandering through a desert following a nude woman. The song has been featured in a BBC promotion for its Summer of Music in May 2013.

The second EP, Loud, was released on February 19, 2013, which featured the lead single and title track "Loud", the debut single from upcoming album. The band's first full-length album, Louder, was released on September 24, 2013 and the album not only includes the four songs from Loud and also seven new songs. The second single from the album, "Pass Me By", premiered on Radio Disney on August 16. The music video premiered on 29 August on Disney Channel and is available for public viewing on the band's Vevo channel. The third single, "(I Can't) Forget About You", was released on December 25, 2013 and reached number 47 on Billboard Digital Pop Songs, and the fourth single "One Last Dance" on May 29, 2014.
