Suzanne Brigit Bird is an American professional basketball player for the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Bird was drafted by the Storm first overall in the 2002 WNBA draft and is considered to be one of the greatest players in WNBA history. As of 2021, Bird is the only WNBA player to win titles in three different decades. She held a front office position for the NBA's Denver Nuggets as their Basketball Operations Associate. Skylar Kierra Diggins-Smith is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Diggins was drafted third overall by the Tulsa Shock in the 2013 WNBA draft. In high school, she was the National Gatorade Player of the Year, the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year. Diggins played point guard for Notre Dame, where she led Notre Dame to three consecutive Final Fours and two consecutive NCAA championship appearances. She finished her Notre Dame career ranked first in points and steals, second in assists, and as a two-time winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award as the top point guard in the nation.
The 2016 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament was played between March and April 2016, with the Final Four played April 3 & 5. The regional locations were four neutral sites: Bridgeport, Connecticut, Dallas, Lexington, Kentucky, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Final Four was played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Connecticut won their fourth consecutive national championship, defeating Syracuse 82–51.
Kaleena Jordan Mosqueda-Lewis is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent. Prior to enrolling at the University of Connecticut she played for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. She played on the USA Basketball U16 National Team, where she helped the team win the FIBA Americas U16 Championship Gold Medal. Mosqueda-Lewis was named the 2011 State Farm/WBCA High School Player of the Year by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. In 2015 Mosqueda-Lewis was drafted third overall by the Seattle Storm, going on to win a WNBA championship with the franchise in 2018.
The 2005–06 Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team was an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Big East Conference, representing Georgetown University. The team raced out to an 11–4 record including an 8–2 mark in out of conference play. John Thompson III's first notable win with the team took place on January 21, 2006 in the 16th game of the season when unranked Georgetown upset No. 1 Duke University. This was Georgetown's first win over a No. 1 ranked team in 21 years. The team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Minneapolis Region Semifinal in the "Sweet Sixteen", where it came the closest of any team to beating the eventual national champion, Florida.

He played basketball for the Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team with his senior season in 2013–2014. Fuller played for Paulistano in 2017–2018 and won the NBB, he currently plays for Corinthians also in the NBB.

Amber Ramirez is an American basketball player with the Arkansas Razorbacks women's basketball team. She played her freshman and sophomore season with TCU In 2016 and 2017, then transferred to Arkansas. She sat out the 2018–19 season due to transfer rules, then played for Arkansas during her junior and senior years. Due to Covid rules, all active players were granted an additional year of eligibility, so she is playing in the 2021–22 season as a redshirt senior.
