The Department for Environment,Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is a ministerial department of the Government of the United Kingdom. It is responsible for environmental protection,food production and standards,agriculture,fisheries and rural communities in the entire United Kingdom. Concordats set out agreed frameworks for co operation,between it and the Scottish Government,Welsh Government and Northern Ireland Executive,which have devolved responsibilities for these matters in their respective nations.

He served as United States trade representative from 1985 to 1989 and as chairman for the Republican National Committee from 1991 until 1992. Yeutter was employed as a senior advisor at the international law firm Hogan Lovells in Washington,D.C. He additionally founded the Clayton Yeutter Institute of International Trade and Finance at his alma mater,the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The university subsequently published his biography,Rhymes with Fighter.

He was the Minister of Investment of Egypt from 2004-2010,and most recently,served as the World Bank Group Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda,United Nations Relations and Partnerships. His roles at the World Bank also included Managing Director,responsible for Human Development,Sustainable Development,Poverty Reduction and Economic Management,Finance and Private Sector Development,and the World Bank Institute;World Bank President's Special Envoy on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs),the Post-2015 Development Agenda,and Financing for Development;and Corporate Secretary and Executive Secretary to the Development Committee of the World Bank Group's Board of Governors. Dr Mohieldin also served on several Boards of Directors in the Central Bank of Egypt and the corporate sector. He was a member of the Commission on Growth and Development and was selected for the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2005. His professional experience extends into the academic arena as a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science,Cairo University and as a Visiting Professor at several renowned Universities in Egypt,Korea,the UAE,the UK and the USA. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Durham University Business School. He also holds leading positions in national,regional and international research centres and associations. He has authored numerous publications and articles in leading journals in the fields of economics,finance and development.
The Department of Agriculture,Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is a government department in the Northern Ireland Executive,the devolved administration for Northern Ireland. The minister with overall responsibility for the department is the Minister of Agriculture,Environment and Rural Affairs. The department was called the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development between 1999 and 2016. The Minister of Agriculture previously existed in the Government of Northern Ireland (1921–1972),where the department was known as the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland or the Ministry of Agriculture. The current Permanent Secretary is Katrina Godfrey.

The Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) was a spending plan initiated by the Government of Kenya to boost economic growth and lead the Kenyan economy out of the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis and the Great Recession. It was introduced in the 2009/2010 Budget Speech in parliament by Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta. Its aim was to jumpstart the Economy of Kenya towards long term growth and development,after the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis and post-election violence that affected the Kenyan economy. Other economic problems included prolonged drought,a rally in oil prices and food prices,and the effects of the Great Recession. The stimulus was a response to the decline in the economic growth rate from 7.1% in 2007 to 1.7% in 2009.
JoséGraziano da Silva is a Brazilian American agronomist and writer. As a scholar,he has authored several books about the problems of agriculture in Brazil. Between 2003 and 2004,Graziano served in the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva cabinet as Extraordinary Minister for Food Security,being responsible for implementing the Fome Zero program,which was a focal point of the Lula Administration's cash transfer program Bolsa Familia. On June 26,2011,Graziano was elected director-general of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO),becoming the first Latin American ever to hold the position. After his first term from 1 January 2012 to 31 July 2015,Graziano da Silva was re-elected for a second 4 year-term during FAO's 39th Conference.
