The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Cape Verde competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Their participation marked their fourth Olympic appearance. Two Cape Verdeans competed in the Olympic games: Nelson Cruz participated as a marathon runner, and Wania Monteiro participated in gymnastics. Another athlete, Lenira Santos, was selected to compete in athletics but was forced to pull out due to injury. Monteiro was selected as the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. Neither of the Cape Verdeans progressed beyond the first round.

Colin Bradford is a Jamaican former track and field athlete who specialised in sprinting events. He represented Jamaica at the Olympic Games in 1976 and 1980.
Neville Myton was a Jamaican middle distance runner who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics and in the 1968 Summer Olympics. He was a double gold medallist at the 1966 Central American and Caribbean Games, taking the individual 800 metres title and also sharing in the team gold medals with the Jamaican 4×400 metres relay team. He won a bronze medal in the 4×400 metre relay at the 1967 Pan American Games.
Ernest Leighton "Ernle" Haisley is a Jamaican former high jumper who competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics.
In 1956 Haisley took part in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. He reached a height of 1.96 metres in the final, placing him 15th.
Haisley represented Jamaica at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games winning gold in the high jump with a height of 6 ft 9 in. This remained the Commonwealth Games high jump record until 1962.
In the following year, he represented British West Indies at the 1959 Pan American Games, winning bronze with a height of 2.00 metres. His final success in major competition was at the Athletics at the 1962 Central American and Caribbean Games in Kingston, Jamaica, where he won bronze with a height of 1.94 metres.
Leighton William Charles Dye was an American hurdler. He placed fourth in the 110 m hurdles at the 1928 Summer Olympics and was United States champion in 1926.
Maurice Crow was a New Zealand weightlifter, who represented his country at the 1948 Olympic Games in London in the bantamweight division. He finished eighth, out of a field of 19 competitors.
Toni James Dunlop is a New Zealand rower and a 3 times olympian.
Gladys Priestley is a Canadian former freestyle swimmer. She competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics and the 1956 Summer Olympics.
Leighton Hope is a Canadian sprinter. He competed in the men's 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
