Lena Andersson (born 18 April 1970) is a Swedish author and journalist. She won the August Prize in 2013 for the novel Wilful Disregard . [1] In the same year, the same book won her the Literature Prize given by the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. [2]
Göran Tunström was a Swedish author. He grew up in Sunne, Värmland County. Tunström's style is personal and intimate, and has a clear autobiographical tone. Although active as an established author for nearly four decades, it was particularly after his Juloratoriet was adapted as a movie in 1996 that he became widely known to the (Swedish) public. He participated in the Oslo International Poetry Festival.
Alma Katarina Frostenson Arnault is a Swedish poet and writer. She was a member of the Swedish Academy from 1992 to 2019. In 2003, Frostenson was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in France in recognition of her services to literature.

Roy Arne Lennart Andersson is a Swedish film director, best known for A Swedish Love Story (1970), About Endlessness (2019) and his "Living trilogy," which includes Songs from the Second Floor (2000), You, the Living (2007) and A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence (2014). Songs from the Second Floor, more than any other, cemented and exemplified his personal style – which is characterized by long takes, absurdist comedy, stiff caricaturing of Swedish culture and grotesque. He has spent much of his professional life working on advertisement spots, directing over 400 commercials and two short films; directing six feature-length films in six decades. His 2014 film A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence won the Golden Lion award at 71st Venice International Film Festival, making Andersson the only Swedish director and the second Nordic director to win the award in the history of the festival, after Danish Carl Theodor Dreyer won in 1955. Andersson is considered one of the most important living European film directors, having four films officially submitted for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film as Swedish entries.
David Harald Vilgot Sjöman was a Swedish writer and film director. His films deal with controversial issues of social class, morality, and sexual taboos, combining the emotionally tortured characters of Ingmar Bergman with the avant garde style of the French New Wave. He is best known as the director of the films 491 (1964), I Am Curious (Yellow) (1967), and I Am Curious (Blue) (1968), which stretched the boundaries of acceptability of what could then be shown on film, deliberately treating their subjects in a provocative and explicit manner.

The Circle is a Swedish young adult fantasy novel written by Mats Strandberg and Sara Bergmark Elfgren. It is the first part of the Engelsfors trilogy. The novel takes place in a fictional rural town in Bergslagen in central Sweden and follows a group of teenage girls with little in common who discover that they are witches chosen to save the world from an otherworldly evil. In addition to the fantasy theme, the novel also uses tropes of horror fiction, psychological realism and the unreliable narrator. The novel has been sold for publication in 21 different languages in addition to Swedish. Random House released the English translation in the UK on June 7, 2012, and in other English-speaking countries during the summer of 2012.
Fokus is a Swedish-language weekly news and current affairs magazine. It was founded by Martin Ahlquist, Lars Grafström, Karin Pettersson and Martin Ådahl. Its first publishing was in December 2005. Svarta ballader is the classically-trained Swedish folk musician Sofia Karlsson's second studio album, released in 2005. On the disc she exclusively interprets poems written by the Swedish proletarian school author Dan Andersson; five of the eleven poems are from his 1917 collection Svarta ballader. The poems are set to music by different composers, including the singers Gunnar Turesson, Gunde Johansson, and Thorstein Bergman; the musician Sven Scholander; a menber of Karlsson's band, Sofie Livebrant, and Karlsson herself; while one song was set by Andersson. Karlsson and her band arranged all the songs, with novel instrumentation including cello, trumpet, bass clarinet, piano and percussion.

Its nine four-line verses, with a ABAB rhyming scheme, create a picture of longing for something beyond the visible world. The poem was published in his 1917 poetry collection Svarta ballader. It has become well-known through popular recordings by musicians including the Hootenanny Singers, Thorstein Bergman, and Sofia Karlsson.
