Lend Lease Infrastructure (formerly Valemus and Bilfinger Berger Australia, trading as Lend Lease) is the second largest construction and engineering specialist business in Australia and a division of Lend Lease Group. [2]
It is active in the civil engineering, building and property, mining and resources, telecommunications, electrical, infrastructure services, engineering services and environmental services industries. [3]
Lend Lease Infrastructure was originally established as Bilfinger Berger Australia (BBA) in 2004 as the holding company of Bilfinger Berger AG (BBAG)’s investments in Australia. BBAG had acquired Baulderstone Hornibrook in 1993 and Abigroup in 2004. Bilfinger Berger Services was created in November 2005 by transferring the services businesses owned by Abigroup and Baulderstone to a new services focused company. In November 2009 it was announced that consideration was being given to floating BBA on the Australian Securities Exchange via an initial public offering (IPO) [4] and in June 2010 BBA changed its name to Valemus [2] but the listing was abandoned in July 2010. [5] In March 2011 the company was acquired by Lend Lease Group. [6]

The Hume Highway, inclusive of the sections now known as the Hume Freeway and Hume Motorway, is one of Australia's major inter-city national highways, running for 840 kilometres (520 mi) between Melbourne in the southwest and Sydney in the northeast. Upgrading of the route from Sydney's outskirts to Melbourne's outskirts to dual carriageway was completed on 7 August 2013.

AusLink is a former Australian Government land transport funding program, that operated between June 2004 and 2009. The former program was administered by the former Department of Transport and Regional Services. The M7 Clem Jones Tunnel (CLEM7), known during its development as the North-South Bypass Tunnel (NSBT), is a A$3.2 billion motorway grade toll road under the Brisbane River, between Woolloongabba and Bowen Hills in Brisbane, Queensland. The tunnel was progressively opened to traffic from late on 15 March 2010 until just after midnight on 16 March 2010. It was completely open by 12:02 am.

The M5 Legacy Way is a 4.6 kilometres (2.9 mi) long tunnel linking the Western Freeway at Toowong and the Inner City Bypass at Kelvin Grove, Brisbane. The project consisted of two bored tunnels carrying two motorway grade lanes of traffic in each direction. It opened on 25 June 2015 and is the fourth of five components of Brisbane City Council's TransApex Project. The tunnels will be tolled for approximately 45 years.
Sir Manuel Richard Hornibrook (1893–1970) OBE was an Australian civil engineer. He founded the firm M R Hornibrook Pty Ltd that after merger with Baulderstone became one of the largest Australian civil engineering firms. Known as "MR", Hornibrook was knighted in 1960. He was highly respected and a builder of bridges across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Papua New Guinea as well as other major projects including Stages 2 and 3, of the Sydney Opera House.

The 434-metre-long (1,424 ft) tunnel under St Helena Hill in the locality of Ewingsdale was built as part of the 17-kilometre (11 mi) Tintenbar to Ewingsdale upgrade, which involved a new alignment of the highway.
