Leong Yong Kong is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Gurun from March 2008 to May 2018 and Member of the Kedah State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir and Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah from 2014 to 2016. [2] He is a member of Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA),a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. [3] [4]
Leong Yong Kong holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from University of Agra.
Leong Yong Kong contested in the 2008 state election and the 2013 state election,he successfully elected as the Gurun state assemblyman. [5]
On 20 March 2014,he was sworn in as Kedah State Executive Councilor,in charge of Environment,Chinese Community Affairs,Heath and Unity portfolio. [6] On 11 May 2015,he was added to be in charge of Indian Community Affairs,which was originally the responsibility of Mohd Rawi Abdul Hamid. [7] On 22 February 2016,he was added to be in charge of Siamese affairs,which was originally the responsibility of Mohd Rawi Abdul Hamid. [8]
On 27 May 2016,Leong Yong Kong withdrew from the MCA because of its concerns about Islamic criminal law. [9] [10] On May 28,the then MCA Kedah state chairman Lee Chee Leong gave Leong Yong Kong two weeks to reconsider his decision to quit the party. [11] On 1 June,Leong Yong Kong withdrew his decision to withdraw from the MCA. [12] [13]

The National Front,officially Barisan Nasional (BN),is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1974 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties to succeed the Alliance Party. It is the third largest political coalition with 30 seats in the Dewan Rakyat after Pakatan Harapan (PH) with 82 seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) with 74 seats.

Dato' Nolee Ashilin binti Mohammed Radzi is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Perak State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) state administrations under Menteris Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir,Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Saarani Mohamad from May 2013 to May 2018,March to December 2020 and again from December 2020 to November 2022 as well as Member of Perak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Tualang Sekah from March 2008 to November 2022. She is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the PN coalition and was an independent as well as member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. She has served as the 3rd Vice Women Chief of BERSATU since October 2024.
Lim Ban Hong is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kelebang from May 2013 to May 2018 and again since November 2021. Leow Thye Yih is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pokok Assam from May 2018 to November 2022 and for Aulong from May 2013 to May 2018. The 2022 Bugaya by-election was a by-election held on 19 November 2022 for the Sabah State Legislative Assembly seat of Bugaya. It was called following the death of the incumbent,Manis Muka Mohd Darah on 17 November 2020. Manis Muka was a 2-term state assemblywoman first elected at the 2018 Sabah state election.
