Ikimonogakari (いきものがかり) is a Japanese pop rock duo from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan consisting of Yoshiki Mizuno and Kiyoe Yoshioka. The group started in February 1999 with Hotaka Yamashita and Yoshiki Mizuno, who had known each other since they were six years old, and was joined by vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka in November of the same year. The group's name is a reference to ikimono-gakari (いきものがかり), a group of children who are responsible for looking after plants and animals in Japanese elementary schools.

My Song Your Song is the third studio album by Ikimono-gakari, released in Japan on December 24, 2008. The song, "Blue Bird", was known for the third opening sequence in Naruto: Shippuden.

It was released in Japan on March 7, 2007 under the label Epic. The album peaked at number four on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for nearly two years.

The sixth season of the Naruto: Shippuden anime series is directed by Hayato Date, and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo. They are based on Part II for Masashi Kishimoto's manga series. The sixth season aired from June 2009 to January 2010 on TV Tokyo. The season follows Sasuke Uchiha taking revenge against Itachi to avenge their clan. It also features two arcs focusing on the background stories for Kakashi Hatake and Jiraiya. The season is referred to by its DVDs as the chapter of Master's Prophecy and Vengeance released by Aniplex.

Hajimari no Uta is the fourth studio album by Ikimonogakari, released in Japan on December 23, 2009. A limited edition version included a bonus DVD with footage from their concert "Ikimono Gakari no Minasan, Konni Tour!! 2009 - My song Your song -" performance on May 25, 2009 at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall, plus special booklet, and ikimono card 017.

Consequently, Ikimono-gakari became the first mixed group in over seventeen years to achieve six consecutive number one albums on the Oricon weekly chart.

Barādon (バラー丼) is the first ballad greatest hits album released by Japanese pop rock band Ikimono-gakari. It was released on December 19, 2012 and contains twelve previously released tracks plus a version of the single "Kaze ga Fuiteiru" recorded in the United Kingdom. Having sold 108,000 copies in its first week of sales, it reached number 1 on the Oricon weekly charts for the week ending December 31, 2012 making it the group's fifth consecutive number one album.
