Life in the Concrete Jungle is the second and final album from New Orleans rap group Chopper City Boyz, led by rapper B.G. It was first scheduled for an August 26 release [3] but was pushed back and released on September 16, 2008. [4] The first single off the album is "Bubblegum", which was produced by Joe the CEO. [5]

B.G. (rapper) American rapper from Louisiana

Christopher Noel Dorsey, better known by his stage name B.G., is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He began his music career signing to Cash Money Records in 1996. Dorsey, alongside fellow rappers Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Turk, collectively formed the group, the Hot Boys in 1997. B.G. released several solo albums for Cash Money, including the platinum-selling Chopper City in the Ghetto in 1999. In 2001, he resigned from Cash Money Records and created his own label, Chopper City Records.

The Demon Boyz were an English hip hop group formed in London by Demon D, Mike J and DJ Devastate. They began rapping whilst in their early teens, performing at the Rebel MC’s Beat Freak gigs. Their big break came when they won a competition on Dave Pearce’s rap show, their prize being to perform live on stage with Derek B, Faze One and T La Rock at a gig at Camden Palace. Derek B – aka Derek Boland, quasi-A&R man for Music of Life records – was so impressed with the group that he put them in touch with the company’s founder, Simon Harris.

The Chopper City Boyz was a New Orleans-based rap group signed to rapper B.G.'s Chopper City Records. The group was formed in 2003 consisting of B.G.'s younger brother Hakizzle, Gar and Snipe, then VL Mike became an addition to the group in early 2004. The group had been featured on B.G.'s solo albums as well as several mixtapes between 2003 and 2006. The group released their debut album with B.G. titled We Got This in 2007, spawning the single "Make 'Em Mad", which was produced by David Banner. The group did exceptionally well for being on an independent record label, Koch Records, selling 36,000 in their first week on the chart.

Alonzo Keith Mathis Jr., better known by his stage name Gorilla Zoe, is an American rapper best known for being a member of the rap group Boyz N Da Hood. His solo debut album Welcome to the Zoo came out in 2007. His next two albums, Don't Feed Da Animals and King Kong, were released in 2009 and 2011. In 2015, he released two mixtapes: Recovery and Raised in the Jungle. He has been an independent artist since 2018.

Chopper is a hip hop music style that originated in the Midwestern United States and features fast-paced rhyming or rapping. Those that rap in the style are known as choppers, and rapping in the style is sometimes referred to as chopping. The style is one of the major forms of Midwest hip hop, though by the early 1990s it had spread to other parts of the United States including California and New York City, and it has spread around the world since.
