The Arista Years is a compilation album that chronicles the Grateful Dead's studio and live albums during their time with Arista Records. The album was released on two-CD and two cassette tapes on October 15, 1996. What a Wonderful World is a 2004 album by American country pop recording artist LeAnn Rimes. It is her sixth studio album and first Christmas album, consisting of jazz inspired holiday music. Rimes released four promotional singles from this album: "O Holy Night", "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", and "A Different Kind of Christmas". Rimes also co-wrote three tracks on this holiday album, one of which with her then husband Dean Sheremet. "Santa Baby" was released as a limited exclusive bonus track on the album at US Target stores. It was also released as an exclusive bonus track on the Australian, Japanese and UK versions of the album and was the fifth promotional single.

Aretha is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Aretha Franklin, released on February 27, 1961, by Columbia Records. It features the Ray Bryant Combo. The album is Aretha's first release for Columbia, and is also known under its working title Right Now It's Aretha. Following in the footsteps of her close friend Sam Cooke, Aretha was "discovered" by famed Columbia Records producer John H. Hammond, who on the liner notes of the 1973 edition of "The Great Aretha Franklin: The First 12 Sides" mentions that she was in fact recommended by the composer Curtis Reginald Lewis. With the support of her father, Reverend C.L. Franklin, Aretha traveled to New York City's Columbia Record Studios to record her debut album for the label. Hammond paired Aretha Franklin with Ray Bryant and arranger J. Leslie McFarland, while taking charge of the album's production, which received mixed reviews.

"La Llorona" is a Mexican folk song derived from the legend of La Llorona. There are many versions of the song. Its origins are obscure, but, around 1941, composer Andres Henestrosa mentioned hearing the song in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. He popularized the song and may have added to the existing verses.

The music was arranged by Evans and members of his orchestra. The album was recorded in 1974 and performed by Evans with an orchestra featuring David Sanborn, Howard Johnson, Billy Harper, and John Abercrombie. The album was re-released with additional tracks on CD in 1988.

Kenton in Hi-Fi is an album by bandleader and pianist Stan Kenton featuring performances of Kenton's signature compositions from the 1940s recorded in 1956 and released on the Capitol label. This album was re-released as 'Kenton in Stereo' in 1959. A 7-1/2 i.p.s.stereo reel tape - Catalog no. ZDS -10 - was recorded by Capitol and released in 1956. Apparently the stereo mix for the reel tape is unique, but the same stereo master tape was probably used for the stereo vinyl LP record.
