Limelight Records was a jazz record label and subsidiary of Mercury Records started in 1962. The catalogue included music by Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Earl Hines, Milt Jackson, Gerry Mulligan, and Oscar Peterson. [1]
Originally headed by Quincy Jones, its activities were directed by the producer Jack Tracy. Though mainly a jazz label, it also released rock, experimental, electronic, and Indian music.
The label's masters are now controlled by Verve Records and The Island Def Jam Music Group, which has reissued some of the Limelight releases on CD.

Savoy Records is an American record company and label established by Herman Lubinsky in 1942 in Newark, New Jersey. Savoy specialized in jazz, rhythm and blues, and gospel music.
Continental Records was a record company founded by Donald H. Gabor in 1942 producing and releasing jazz, blues and classical music. Its catalogue included issues by Cozy Cole, Edmond Hall, Sabby Lewis, Slam Stewart, Mary Lou Williams, Rubberlegs Williams, Ethel Waters, and classical artists Georges Enesco, Béla Bartók, and Andor Foldes. The label's name was revived briefly in the 1960s.

Elektra/Musician was a jazz record label founded as a subsidiary of Elektra Records in 1982. The label was headed by Bruce Lundvall and released its first batch of albums on February 12, 1982. The label ceased when Lundvall left Elektra to start EMI's Manhattan Records in 1984. Elektra unsuccessfully attempted to revive the Elektra/Musician label in the late 1980s with acts such as the Gipsy Kings, but the label was eventually absorbed by Nonesuch Records, which also absorbed the label's earlier iteration in 1984.
