Linda Clement

Linda Clement (born 13 March 1980) is a female field hockey forward and midfielder from Scotland. She played in 241 matches for the Women's National Team, scoring 61 goals. [1]

Clement was born in Inverness and raised on the Black Isle, attending Fortrose Academy before she move to Edinburgh to study. [2] She was selected for the Highland District under-16 and then under-18 hockey squads before representing Scotland at under-18 level. [2] Clement had also been involved with athletics during her school days and represented Scotland in the 300 metres at under-17 level in 1996. [3] [4]

Clement made her debut for the Women's National Team in 1999. Clement played in four consecutive Commonwealth Games tournaments: Manchester, Melbourne and Dehli and Glasgow. [5] She was selected as captain of the Women's National Team for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. [6] She announced her retirement from international competition in August 2014. [1]

She played club hockey for Bonagrass Grove. [7] Clement teaches physical education and is the head of hockey at the High School of Dundee in Scotland. [3]

The band have a number of awards, including; the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards Live Act of the Year, Album of the Year and Folk Band of the Year. Their records are released on their own indie Blazin' Records label. They have been described as "...the LED Zepplin of the Folk World."

Louise Carroll is a female field hockey defender from Scotland. She plays club hockey for Bonagrass Grove Ladies, and made her debut for the Women's National Team in 2002. Carroll was the Scottish team’s flag bearer at the 2000 Youth Commonwealth Games.

Samantha Judge is a female field hockey forward from Scotland. She has made 199 appearance for the Women's National Team. She is the current coach at Edinburgh University Hockey Club.

Louise Baxter is a female field hockey defender from Scotland, who also plays on midfield. She has made 114 appearance for the Women's National Team.

Cheryl Valentine is a female field hockey midfield player from Scotland. She played over 100 times for the Women's National Team.

Eilidh Doyle British track and field athlete

Eilidh Doyle is a retired British track and field athlete who specialised in the 400 metres hurdles and the 4 x 400 metres relay. She represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The 2014 Scottish Labour Party leadership election was an internal party election to choose a new leader and deputy leader of the Scottish Labour Party, following the resignations of Johann Lamont as leader and Anas Sarwar as deputy. Lamont announced her decision in an interview with the Daily Record on 24 October, saying that she was stepping down effective immediately because the UK Labour Party treated the Scottish party as a "branch office of London". Lamont, who had won the 2011 leadership contest, thus becoming the first Scottish leader to have authority over Labour's Scottish MPs in the House of Commons as well as in the Scottish Parliament, was the second leader of a Scottish political party to resign in the wake of the 2014 independence referendum. Before her resignation, Alex Salmond announced his intention to relinquish the role of Scottish National Party (SNP) leader and First Minister. Sarwar announced his own resignation on 30 October, saying he felt it was right for the party to elect a new leadership team.

Jenna Josephine Fife is a Scottish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Rangers W.F.C. in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) and for the Scotland national team.
