Lisa Miskovsky (born 9 March 1975) is a Swedish musician and singer-songwriter.
Miskovsky placed herself on the Swedish rock music charts with her debut album Lisa Miskovsky and single "Driving One of Your Cars", with Swedish releases in 2001. Following this release, she received two Swedish Rock Bear awards; one for Best Swedish Newcomer, and the other for Best Swedish Female Artist of the Year. She followed up with the album Fallingwater , released in 2003, which climbed to number one in the Swedish pop charts, reaching platinum sales. The album contained two hit songs, "Lady Stardust" and "Sing to Me". "Lady Stardust" was also a radio hit in Europe, particularly in Germany and the United Kingdom.[ citation needed ]
Some of her music was co-written and produced by Joakim Berg, lead songwriter from the Swedish rock band Kent, and Simon Nordberg.[ citation needed ]
Miskovsky is a songwriter as well as a singer and musician. She had the original idea and wrote the lyrics to "Shape of My Heart", performed by Backstreet Boys. [1]
Miskovsky contributed vocals to the track "Dead End" on Come Clarity , the 2006 release from Swedish melodic death metal outfit In Flames. [2]
Miskovsky performed the theme song "Still Alive" for Mirror's Edge , an action-adventure video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE). A remix album titled Still Alive: The Remixes was released on 11 November 2008 to coincide with the North American release date of Mirror's Edge. The album featured Miskovsky's original version, along with remixes by Benny Benassi, Junkie XL, Paul van Dyk, Armand van Helden, and Teddybears. [3]
In 2011 she released her fourth studio album, Violent Sky , after moving record labels from Universal Music to Sony Music Entertainment.[ citation needed ]
Miskovsky entered Melodifestivalen 2012, the Swedish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Why Start a Fire". Lisa competed in the fourth semifinal and placed in the top two songs of the heat. Lisa competed at the final in Stockholm in 2012, where she finished 9th. [4]
Ten years after her last entry into the contest, Miskovsky entered Melodifestivalen 2022 with the song "Best to Come". She performed on 19 February 2022 and finished third, qualifying to the semi-final. She performed again at second semi-final on 5 March 2022, finishing third and failing to qualify to the final. [5]
Besides music, Miskovsky enjoys snowboarding and has participated in the Swedish national snowboard team. [6]
Her mother, Pirjo, is Finnish and her father, Karel Miškovský, is a Czech immigrant. [7] Her sister is Carolina Miskovsky; the two have performed together publicly. [8]
She shared in a fan interview at Melodifestivalen 2012, that she is a mother with two daughters, however she did not reveal any other personal information. [9] In 2003, she married a Norwegian snowboarder, Marius Sommer. They filed for divorce in 2006 but reconciled for a time. [10] They separated in September 2014. [11] She resides in Umeå. [4]
During the 2014 Winter Olympics she was a sports reporter on location, mainly covering snowboard and freestyle skiing.[ citation needed ]

Come Clarity is the eighth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released in February 2006. It was originally going to be called Crawl Through Knives but was changed during development.
Anna Jenny Charlotte Perrelli, known until 2003 by her maiden name, is a Swedish singer and television host. Under her maiden name, she won the 1999 Melodifestivalen and subsequently that year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Take Me to Your Heaven".

Agnes Emilia Carlsson, known mononymously as Agnes, is a Swedish singer. She rose to fame as the winner of Idol 2005, the second season of the Swedish Idol series. "Shape of My Heart" is a song by American boy band Backstreet Boys, released on October 2, 2000, as the lead single from their fourth studio album, Black & Blue (2000). The ballad was written and produced by Max Martin and Rami and co-written by Lisa Miskovsky. Following its release, "Shape of My Heart" topped the singles charts of eight countries and reached the top 10 on 15 others, including the US Billboard Hot 100, on which it peaked at number nine. The song earned a Grammy Award nomination during the 44th Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
Jill Anna Maria Johnson is a Swedish country and pop singer, songwriter and TV-host. She performed in the Melodifestivalen 1998 contest, winning with the song "Kärleken är", and represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 with that song, which finished 10th with 53 points. In 2003 she entered Melodifestivalen for the second time with "Crazy in Love", which finished fourth in the final. She also hosted the final of Melodifestivalen 2005. Johnson is today one of the most successful artists in Sweden, with several Gold and Platinum records and since 2014 has hosted her own Swedish TV-show from Nashville, Jills veranda.
Arvingarna is a Swedish dansband formed in Gothenburg in 1989. The group consists of Casper Janebrink, Lars Larsson, Kim Carlsson and Tommy Carlsson. At Melodifestivalen 1993, they performed the song '"Eloise", which won, allowing Arvingarna to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet Co.Cork in May that year, where the song finished 7th.
