The Tour Down Under is a cycling race in and around Adelaide, South Australia. It is traditionally the opening event of the UCI World Tour and UCI Women’s WorldTour.

Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual riders or teams race a course alone against the clock. Stage races or "tours" take multiple days, and consist of several mass-start or time-trial stages ridden consecutively.

The Giro Donne is an annual women's cycle stage race around Italy. First held in 1988, the race is currently part of the UCI Women's World Tour, and is currently organised by Starlight / PMG Sport. The race was previously branded as the Giro d'Italia Femminile prior to 2013, and the Giro Rosa from 2013 to 2020.

Lotto–Dstny is a Belgian professional cycling team at UCI ProTeam level sponsored by the Belgian lottery and Dstny, a business communications provider. The same organisations also sponsor a women's cycling team, Lotto–Dstny Ladies.

The UC Irvine Anteaters are the athletic teams fielded by the University of California, Irvine. Its athletics programs participate in the NCAA's Division I, as members of the Big West Conference and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. VolkerWessels Women Cyclingteam is a UCI Women's Continental Team based in the Netherlands, which competes in elite women's road bicycle races such as the UCI Women's World Tour. The team was established in 2013 and received an UCI licence in 2014.

ONE Pro Cycling was a British UCI Continental men's cycling team. Their first season was 2015, and they became a Professional Continental team in 2016. Due to funding issues, they reverted to Continental level in 2017.

A UCI WorldTeam (2015–present), previously UCI ProTeam (2005–2014), is the term used by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to name a cycling team of the highest category in professional road cycling, the UCI World Tour or UCI ProTour, respectively.

DNA Pro Cycling is a professional UCI Women's Team, based in the United States.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships</span>

The 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championships for track cycling in 2017. They took place in Hong Kong in the Hong Kong Velodrome from 12 to 16 April 2017. The last time the championships took place in Asia was at the 1990 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Japan at the Green Dome Maebashi.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">UCI Trials World Championships</span>

The UCI Trials World Championships are the world championship events in trials organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the governing body of world cycling. The first three finishers in each category are awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals. The winner of each category is also entitled to wear the rainbow jersey in events in that category until the following year's World Championships.
