This is a list of all managers of Al Sadd SC. Since 1969 the first coach was Hamad Al Attiyah, and the first coach to achieve a title with him was the Sudanese Hassan Othman, and more than his coach was the Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira for four seasons. Current coach Javi Gracia took over for Xavi on 8 December 2021.
The first to coach Al Sadd SC is Hamad Al Attiyah. It did not last long. In the mid-seventies with coaches from Sudan, including Hassan Othman for three years, to begin the stage of contracting with Brazilian coaches from the eighties until the end of the nineties, their number reached 14, most notably Zé Mário, Evaristo de Macedo and Procópio Cardoso, With the beginning of the millennium Al Sadd SC contracted with several coaches and there was no stability and from several nationalities. They are Džemaludin Mušović for the second time after the first season 1994–95, Luka Peruzović, Jorge Fossati, Ilie Balaci, Bora Milutinović, Émerson Leão, Cosmin Olăroiu, René Meulensteen, Co Adriaanse, and for the third time the Bosnian Mušović. On January 14, 2011 Al Sadd SC contracted with Jorge Fossati for the second time after the first in the 2006–07 season which was not successful, but in the second Fossati managed to lead him to win the 2011 AFC Champions League for the second time in its history after the first in 1988–89 to ensure a historic participation in the FIFA Club World Cup where they played against the giant FC Barcelona to occupy third place and guarantee a bronze medal, and at the end of the season after failing to win the 2011–12 Qatar Stars League and not guaranteeing participation in the AFC Champions League, Fossati officially left his post.
He was succeeded by Moroccan Hussein Ammouta where he spent more than three years during which Ammouta achieved four titles, His first test came in the 2012 Sheikh Jassem Cup. Al Sadd, playing most of their matches with their second team, achieved the runners-up position when they lost to Al Rayyan SC in the final. In the league, his team's form won the appraisal of many pundits, with them winning all of their first nine games, setting a new league record. [1] Sadd were eventually held to a goalless draw by Al Kharaitiyat on 8 December 2012. [2] Al-Sadd won the league on 13 April 2013, one match before the end of the league. It was the first Al-Sadd's championship since 2007. On 28 November 2015, Ferreira was named the head coach of Al Sadd SC, on a six-month deal with the option of a further year. [3] Having won the 2018–19 Qatar Stars League with a game to play, [4] he left the team in May and was replaced by Xavi. [5] On 28 May 2019 it was announced that Xavi would take over as manager of Al Sadd on a two-year contract. [6] [7] Xavi helped the club reach the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League, where they were eliminated by Al-Hilal FC 6–5 on aggregate. [8] In the league, the club finished third. In the 2019–20 season, Xavi led his team to win three domestic trophies, including the league and the Qatar Cup. In the 2020 AFC Champions League, Al Sadd reached the round of 16 but were eliminated 1–0 by Persepolis. [9] During his 97 games in charge of Al Sadd, spanning two and a half years, he led the club to seven trophies. [10] On 3 November 2021, Al Sadd drew 3–3 against Al-Duhail in his final game in-charge. Two days later Al Sadd announced Xavi's move to Barcelona after his release clause was paid. [11]

Jorge Daniel Fossati Lurachi is a Uruguayan football manager and former player who played as a goalkeeper. He is the current manager of Peruvian club Universitario.
Xavier Hernández Creus, also known as Xavi Hernández or simply Xavi, is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who is currently the manager of La Liga club Barcelona. Widely considered one of the greatest midfielders of all time, Xavi was renowned for his passing, vision, ball retention, and positioning. He won 32 trophies in his career, making him the second-most decorated Spanish player in history, behind former teammate Andrés Iniesta. He was included in the FIFA FIFPro World XI on six occasions: 2008 to 2013, and the UEFA Team of the Year five times: 2008 to 2012. In 2020 Xavi was named in the Ballon d'Or Dream Team, a greatest all-time XI published by France Football. He is one of the few recorded players to have made over 1,000 professional career appearances.
Qatar Sports Club is a sports club based in Doha, Qatar. It is best known for its football team which competes in the Qatar Stars League. An Iranian student named Yaser Ghasemian Zoeram designed the stadium of this club for renovation, which was met with a unique reception in Qatar. The club was founded in 1961 as a merger of two Qatari football clubs Al-Oruba and Al-Nasour.

Al Sadd Sports Club is a Qatari sports club based in the Al Sadd district of the city of Doha. It is best known for its association football team, which competes in the top level of Qatari football, the Qatar Stars League. Locally, it is known primarily by the nickname "Al Zaeem", which translates to "The Boss". It is known as the best team in Qatar and is the only Qatari team that has won the AFC Champions League in Asia. In addition to football, the club has teams for handball, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and athletics. It is the most successful sports club in the country, and holds a national record of 57 official football championships.
Cosmin Aurelian Olăroiu is a Romanian professional football manager and former footballer in charge of UAE Pro League Sharjah FC. As a manager, he guided FCSB to the Romanian League title and Romanian Supercup both in 2006, and led his side to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in the same year. He is considered one of the greatest managers in the Arabian Peninsula, having led the most decorated clubs of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates – Al Hilal, Al Sadd, Al Ain and Al Ahli – to new trophies. In 2020, he guided Jiangsu Suning to their first-ever title in China.
Khalfan Ibrahim Khalfan Al Khalfan is a retired Qatari international footballer who played as a winger. He was named the Asian Player of the Year in 2006, becoming the first Qatari to win the title. He played for Al Arabi at youth level before moving to Al Sadd in 2004 on a professional contract.
Ali Hassan Afif Yahya is a Qatari footballer. He currently plays for Umm Salal and the Qatar national team as a left-back.
Javier "Javi" Gracia Carlos is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a defensive midfielder.
Pedro Miguel Carvalho Deus Correia, known as Ró-Ró, is a professional footballer who plays for Al Sadd SC and the Qatar national team as a right-back or a central defender.
Hussein Ammouta is a Moroccan professional football manager and former player. He previously played as a midfielder, and had spent his entire playing career in the Middle East and Africa. He competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics. He is currently the coach of Jordan.
Akram Hassan Afif Yahya Afif Al Yafei is a Qatari professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Qatar Stars League club Al Sadd and the Qatar national team.

Ahmed Suhail Saber Al-Hamawende is a Qatari footballer with Iraqi origins. He currently plays for Al-Sadd as a defender.
In the 2021–22 season, Al Sadd SC is competing in the Qatar Stars League for the 49th season, as well as the Emir of Qatar Cup and the Champions League. On November 3, after the match against Al-Duhail, Xavi left the club to be the new coach of FC Barcelona six years after his departure and this is after an agreement was reached between the two clubs.
In the 2015–16 season, Al Sadd SC is competing in the Qatar Stars League for the 43rd season, as well as the Emir of Qatar Cup the Qatar Crown Prince Cup and the Champions League.
The fixture between Al-Duhail and Al Sadd is a local derby in Doha, Qatar and a fierce rivalry. The derby does not have a common name. Since the establishment of Al-Duhail, the matches between the two teams have become the most important in Qatar. The two teams have won the Qatar Stars League title 22 times, the Emir of Qatar Cup 21 times, the Qatar Cup (ex) Crown Prince Cup 11 times, and Sheikh Jassim Cup 17 times. On the continental level Al Sadd won the AFC Champions League twice and the Arab Champions League once.
In the 2022–23 season, Al Sadd SC is competing in the Qatar Stars League for the 50th season, as well as the Emir of Qatar Cup.
