This is a list of Australian intercolonial cricket matches. It lists only those first-class matches played between the various Australian colonies prior to Federation on 1 January 1901. Matches listed include composite team matches, such as Australian XI or Rest of Australia, played against either another composite team, or a colony.

Contents

Additional first-class matches (not listed here) were played and included matches between representative colonial teams and visiting overseas teams. Some of these matches are recorded as Test matches. Intercolonial cricket matches were the first-class cricket matches played between the various colonies of Australia prior to federation in 1901. After federation, they became known as Interstate matches. By the 1880s regular intercolonials were being played, generally with intense rivalry. Matches against visiting professional teams from England also attracted public interest.

The Indian national cricket team toured Australia in the 1999–2000 season. They played 3 Test matches losing all the three of them. They played 8 One Day Internationals as part of the Carlton & United Series against Pakistan and Australia.

This article describes the history of Australian cricket from the 1890–91 season until 1900.

The 2015–16 Sheffield Shield season was the 114th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. The season began after the conclusion of the Matador BBQs One-Day Cup, and included a break halfway through to allow for the Big Bash League. Trials for day/night Tests with a pink ball continued, having been introduced during the previous season. All of the matches for rounds one and seven of the tournament were played as day/night games. Victoria won their second consecutive title, defeating South Australia by 7 wickets in the final at Gliderol Stadium. Travis Head was named player of the series for his 721 runs and 9 wickets during the season. Ben Dunk of Tasmania was the leading run-scorer, while Joe Mennie from South Australia took the most wickets.

Tom Warne was an Australian cricketer. He played 46 first-class cricket matches for Victoria between 1895 and 1912. He toured New Zealand with the Australian team in 1909–10 but did not play Test cricket.

Cricket Australia XI Australian domestic cricket team

Cricket Australia XI is a domestic cricket team who play tour matches against international teams touring Australia. The team formerly played in Australia's JLT Cup limited-overs tournament. Before each tournament, a 14-man squad was selected from young players with state contracts, or Australian National Performance Squad players, who had not been picked in their respective states' 14-man List A squads for that season's tournament. The aim was to develop their skills against top players.

The 2016 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup was the 47th season of the official List A domestic cricket competition in Australia. It was played over a three-week period at the start of the domestic season to separate its schedule from the Sheffield Shield season. The tournament was held in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, with 13 of the 23 matches broadcast live on free-to-air television on 9Gem. In the final, New South Wales, who qualified for the final through a victory in an elimination final against Victoria, were successful over Queensland, who won every round robin game except for one.

2016–17 Sheffield Shield season Cricket tournament

The 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season was the 115th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. It started on 25 October 2016 and finished on 30 March 2017. There was a break between December and January for the Big Bash League. The first round of matches were played as day/night games in preparation for Australia's day/night Test match against Pakistan on 15 December 2016. A second day/night round of fixtures took place in round five of the tournament.

Ryan Gibson is an Australian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI in the 2016–17 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup on 1 October 2016. He scored a century and was named man of the match.

2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup Cricket tournament

The 2017 JLT One-Day Cup was the 48th season of the official List A domestic cricket competition in Australia. It was played over a four-week period at the start of the domestic season to separate its schedule from the Sheffield Shield season. The tournament was held in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Hobart, with all 23 matches to be broadcast live on the Cricket Australia website and app. It was the first time in more than a decade that neither the Nine Network nor Fox Sports (Australia) have hosted a television broadcast of the tournament. The tournament was sponsored by Jardine Lloyd Thompson.

Llandudno Swifts were a football club from Llandudno who existed during the late Victorian era. The club were first mentioned in 1889. They competed in the Combination, North Wales Coast League, Welsh Cup, FA Cup and North Wales Coast Cup. The club was wound up in 1901 after a period of professionalism. Following the demise of Llandudno Swifts, a new team Llandudno Amateurs were formed.

William Bradley (cricketer) Australian cricketer

William Francis Bradley was an Australian cricketer. He played fifteen first-class matches for Queensland between 1892-93 and 1899-1900 and was the States first first-class captain and wicket-keeper.

Charles Martin was an Australian cricketer. He played in two first-class matches for Queensland between 1893 and 1894. He was regarded as one of the best batsmen in Queensland in the 1890s.
