"Jump (For My Love)" is an electro-pop song by American vocal group the Pointer Sisters, released on April 11, 1984, as the third single from their tenth studio album Break Out (1983). The song hit the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100, R&B, and Dance charts, and it was the best-selling American dance single of 1984, sold as a trio of songs including "I Need You" and "Automatic". The song features June Pointer on lead vocals and scored global chart success.
Becoming a Jackal is the debut album by the Irish rock group Villagers. In 2010 it was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Vinyl editions of the album contain 2 discs, with tracks on the first three sides and an etching on the fourth.
The Body of Christ and the Legs of Tina Turner is the second album released by Irish band Fight Like Apes. It was released on 27 August 2010 in the Republic of Ireland as the follow-up to their debut album Fight Like Apes and the Mystery of the Golden Medallion.
"Invincible" is a song by English rapper Tinie Tempah. Written by Tempah, co-written and produced by iSHi, the song features guest vocals from American recording artist, Kelly Rowland. It was released on 26 December 2010, serving as the fourth official single from Tempah's debut album, Disc-Overy. The song was conceived by Tempah as a tribute to the music which Rowland used to release when she was part of Destiny's Child. Critics noted the song's production, which consists of brassy horns and a piano riff similar to David Guetta and Rowland's hit single "When Love Takes Over" (2009). An accompanying music video sees Tempah travelling through London reminiscing about his humble beginnings. Rowland appears as a projected image on the buildings.
Passenger is the second studio album by Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan. The album was released in the US and Canada on 20 September 2011 and in the Republic of Ireland on 7 October 2011. The album, featuring 11 new tracks, was nominated for the Choice Music Prize.
Closer To You is the third album by the Irish indie act The Coronas, released in November 2011. It went straight into the Irish Indie Chart at number one, making number three in the overall chart. The album was produced by Tony Hoffer. Its lead single "Addicted to Progress" received more radio play in Ireland than any of the band's previous singles, topping Today FM's playlist chart for three consecutive weeks in December 2011.
Rhythm and Repose is the first solo studio album by Glen Hansard. The album was recorded by Patrick Dillett and produced by Thomas Bartlett. The song "Come Away to the Water" was covered by Maroon 5 and Rozzi Crane on the soundtrack for the 2012 film The Hunger Games. The album has sold 77,000 copies in the US as of September 2015.
The Irish Independent Albums Chart is a chart of best-selling independent album releases in Ireland. It is issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and complied on its behalf by GfK's Chart-Track until losing the contract at the end of 2016.
