Middlesex College, formerly Middlesex County College, is a public community college with its main campus in Edison, New Jersey. It was founded by the Middlesex County Board of Elected Freeholders in 1964 and serves the needs of Middlesex County as well as surrounding communities. The college also maintains two urban center campuses, one located in the Civic Square government and theatre district of New Brunswick and one in the city center of Perth Amboy. The current president of Middlesex College is Mark McCormick, who succeeded Dr. Joann LaPerla-Morales.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mike Teel</span> American football player and coach (born 1986)

Mike Teel is a former American football quarterback. He played college football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Teel spent time with the Seahawks, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears in the span of three years. After serving as the quarterbacks coach for the Kean Cougars of Kean University in 2011, he was the quarterbacks coach for Wagner College in 2012 and departed after one year. In 2014 Teel resumed coaching as a graduate assistant at Rutgers. Teel is formerly the head coach for the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen football team.

Glenn Hedden is a former head football coach and athletic director for the Kean University Cougars in Union, New Jersey. In his two seasons as head coach (1987–88), he compiled a record of 13–8 and led the Cougars to their first ever New Jersey Athletic Conference title in his first year on the job. Prior to Kean, Hedden was an assistant football coach at Montclair State University for 11 years.

Charles Cocuzza is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Kean University in Union, New Jersey from 2003 ro 2003, compiling a record of 7–23. Prior to taking over the Kean program, Cocuzza served as an assistant coach at Montclair State University for 27 years, most of which were as the Red Hawks' offensive coordinator.

Marion Crecco was an American Republican Party politician, who served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1986 to 2002, where she represented the 30th Legislative District (1986–1992) and then the 34th Legislative District (1992–2002) following redistricting in the wake of the 1990 United States census.

Robert F. Casciola is an American former college football coach, National Basketball Association executive, banking executive, and broadcaster. He was the head coach at the University of Connecticut from 1971 to 1972 and at Princeton University from 1973 to 1977. He held assistant coaching positions at Princeton and, Dartmouth College. Casciola served as an executive vice president and the chief operating officer for the New Jersey Nets of the NBA from 1987 to 1991. He joined the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame in 1991 as executive director. He became president in 1996, serving in the role until his retirement in 2005. He played college football at Princeton as a tackle.

The New Jersey Sports Writers Association (NJSWA) was founded in 1936. The 75th Anniversary Banquet was held on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at The Pines Manor, Edison, New Jersey.
