Log Horizon is a 2013 science fiction, action Japanese anime series based on the novels written by Mamare Touno. [1] A 25-episode anime adaptation produced by Satelight aired on NHK Educational TV from October 5, 2013 to March 22, 2014. [1] The series was streamed as a simulcast by Crunchyroll in North America and other select parts of the world. [2]
A 25-episode second season produced by Studio Deen aired from October 4, 2014 to March 28, 2015. [3] [4] [5] Both seasons have been licensed by Sentai Filmworks in North America for digital and home video release. [6] [7]
A 12-episode third season titled Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table (Japanese:ログ・ホライズン 円卓崩壊 Hepburn:Rogu Horaizun Entaku Hōkai) has been released, originally set to premiere in October 2020, it was delayed to Winter 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [8] The third season premiered on January 13, 2021. The third season is named after the title of Volume 12 of the web novel series and the official acronym is DORT. The staff and cast will reprise their roles from the second season. [9]
The English dub of the series began broadcasting on ABC Me in Australia on October 23, 2021. [10]

Yasuharu Takanashi is a prolific Japanese composer and arranger for anime and video game series. His anime composition credits include Naruto Shippuden, Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Shiki, Hell Girl, and Record of Ragnarok. He also composed on four Pretty Cure series: Fresh Pretty Cure!, HeartCatch PreCure!, Suite PreCure, and Smile PreCure!, as well as their related films, some of which were with composer Naoki Sato. Game music compositions include Genji: Dawn of the Samurai, Genji: Days of the Blade and J-Stars Victory VS. He also composed theme music for Pride Fighting Championships and Ultraman Max.
Log Horizon is a Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara. It began serialization online in 2010 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, being later on acquired by Enterbrain and published as a light novel in Japan since 2011. Yen Press began publishing an English translation in 2015. The series follows the strategist, Shiroe, and the other players of the long-lived MMORPG Elder Tale after they find themselves whisked away into the game world following a game update.

Hozuki's Coolheadedness is a Japanese manga series that was written and illustrated by Natsumi Eguchi. The plot revolves around Hozuki, a demon who works for the King and Head Judge of Hell. Kodansha serialized the manga in the magazine Morning between March 2011 and January 2020, and chapters were collected in thirty-one tankōbon volumes. The manga was adapted into a television anime series; Wit Studio produced the first season in 2014, and Studio Deen was responsible for a second season in 2017–2018. Wit Studio also produced three original animation DVDs (OADs) in 2015, while Studio Deen produced one OAD in 2017, and Pine Jam produced three more OVAs in 2019 and 2020.
