Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, also known as Tecnológico de Monterrey or just Tec, is a private research university based in Monterrey, Mexico, which has grown to include 35 campuses throughout the country.

San Pedro Garza García is a city-municipality in the Mexican state of Nuevo León and part of the Monterrey Metropolitan area. It is a contemporary commercial suburb of the larger metropolitan city of Monterrey between Puente de la Unidad and the Alfa Planetarium, including areas surrounding Calzada del Valle/Calzada San Pedro. In 2018 it was evaluated as having the best quality of life in Mexico. It has luxury shopping malls, large green areas, as well as important colleges and hospitals. Cerro de Chipinque and Chipinque Ecological Park are notable aspects of the city. The city hosts the head offices of companies like ALFA, Cemex, Gamesa, Vitro, Pyosa, Softtek and Cydsa.

The Estadio Tecnológico was a multi-purpose stadium located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, located on the campus of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). It hosted football and American football games during its 67-year existence, from 1950 to 2017.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">María de Lourdes Dieck-Assad</span> Mexican economist

Dr. María de Lourdes Dieck-Assad is a Mexican economist who has held positions in academia, an international organization, government and business, including professorships in the United States and Mexico as well as serving as Mexico's ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the institutions of the European Union from 2004 to 2007. For her service in this capacity, she was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Crown of Belgium. She attended the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education from 1971 to 1975, graduating with a bachelor's in economics. She received her master's in 1976 from Vanderbilt University and her doctorate in the same field from the University of Texas in Austin in 1983 with a dissertation entitled “The effect of economic shocks under different monetary procedures and different economic structures,” which she wrote as an intern at the Brookings Institution. She has said that she wanted to work to make an impact on Mexico since she was studying as an undergraduate, mostly in economic and social issues. Her husband is economist Pedro Quintanilla Gómez-Noriega. They lived in Austin, Texas for five years, where they both pursued doctoral studies in Economics. Then they went to live in Washington, DC where both worked. They returned to Mexico in 1992. When an opportunity came for Dieck-Assad to represent Mexico in Europe, she received the full support of her husband and her three children, who were already in high school and college.

The Escuela de Graduados en Administración y Dirección de Empresas — generally translated as Graduate School of Management and Business Administration, but officially branded as EGADE Business School since 2010 — is the graduate business school of the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM): one of Latin America's largest private universities and one of the most prestigious business universities in the Americas.

The Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Santa Fe Campus commonly shortened as Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe, ITESM Campus Santa Fe or Tec Santa Fe, is a campus of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education private university system in Santa Fe, Mexico City, Mexico. It provides professional studies as well as high school programs. International programs are also available. The campus features modern architecture by the renowned Ricardo Legorreta, having more than 30,000 square meters of construction, with more than 3,000 students.

Fernando García Roel was a Mexican chemical engineer. He served as the second rector of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.

Carlos Salazar Lomelín is a Mexican businessman who is chief executive officer of Coca-Cola FEMSA since 1 January 2000.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">David Noel Ramírez Padilla</span> Mexican university rector

David Noel Ramírez Padilla was the dean of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education university system (ITESM) which has thirty one campuses in various parts of Mexico. Ramirez's education and career as both an educator and administrator have all been around this university system, culminating to his former position beginning in January 2011. In addition, he has authored eight books, numerous articles, served as keynote speaker at various conferences and advised outside institutions on matters regarding accounting, finance and human development.

José Florencio Fernández Santillán is a political science professor and researcher at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico City. He and his work appear in academic and popular media in Mexico.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Carlos Manuel Urzúa Macías</span> Mexican politician (1955–2024)

Carlos Manuel Urzúa Macías was a Mexican politician and academic who was Professor of Economics at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City and Santa Fe campuses. He was a National Researcher and a member of the Mexican Academy of Science. Urzúa Macías served as the Secretary of Finance for the Mexico City government from 2000 to 2003. He was also an award-winning poet.

Macario Schettino is a Mexican economist and political analyst, who calls himself “dedicated to the analysis of reality.” He speaks and writes about what is happening in Mexico from a combined social, political and economic perspective.

María Elena Meneses Rocha was a Mexican journalist, professor of journalism and researcher into media, communications and the Internet with the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico City. On the campus she taught and was the coordinator of the Cátedra Sociedad de la Información, which does research and consulting in mass media and information technology. She also worked with mass media, as a writer and as a commentator for print, broadcast and Internet media, mostly commenting on information technologies.

Mario Moisés Álvarez is a Mexican researcher. He was a visiting professor at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technologies, at the Brigham Women's Hospital of the Harvard Medical School, in Cambridge Massachusetts (2014-2017). He also collaborated as a visiting professor in the Microsystems Technology Laboratories at MIT (2015-2016). Álvarez conducted research at the BIRC in the areas of Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials, and Microfluidics. Today, Mario Moisés Álvarez is a full professor at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies, specializing in biomedical and biopharmaceutical engineering. His work has been recognized by Level III membership in Mexico's Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, a permanent membership in the AMC, two granted US patents and twelve granted Mexican patents. He received the Rómulo Garza Insignia Award in 2017, the most prestigious research award from his institution, Tecnológico de Monterrey.

René Cabral Torres is a Mexican economist who works as a professor and researcher with the Escuela de Graduados en Administración Pública y Políticas Públicas (EGAP), of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies. His work has been recognized by the Mexican government with Level II membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores.

Anabella del Rosario Dávila Martínez is a Mexican professor and researcher at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies as well as the director of the doctorate program in administrative sciences of the EGADE Business School on the Monterrey Campus.

Arturo Molina Gutiérrez is a Mexican scientist, researcher and academic.

Héctor Andrés Zepeda Hernández is a Mexican gridiron football offensive lineman for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM), where he won two national championships with the Borregos Salvajes Monterrey. He was selected to participate in the National Football League (NFL)'s International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) in 2022 and 2023. Zepeda was also drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in the first round of the 2022 CFL Global Draft.
