Kirk Reynoldson is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the National Rugby League. He previously played for the Newcastle Knights and the Melbourne Storm. Reynoldson primarily played in the second row.
Jarrod Stephen Mullen is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer. He last played for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Queensland Cup. A New South Wales State of Origin representative, he played at five-eighth and halfback. He previously played for Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League (NRL).
Ben Jeffries is an Australian rugby league coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Newcastle Knights NRL Women's Premiership team, the PNG Orchids and the Indigenous Women's All Stars.
Rory Kostjasyn is a former Ireland international rugby league footballer. He played in the National Rugby League (NRL) for the Melbourne Storm and North Queensland Cowboys, with whom he was a member of their 2015 NRL premiership and 2016 World Club Challenge winning sides. An Ireland international and New South Wales Country representative, he played at hooker, but could also fill in at lock, and five-eighth. Kostjasyn currently works in the Dolphins (NRL) coaching department, he was previously with the Newcastle Knights coaching department and previously coached their Canterbury Cup NSW team.

The 2023 Newcastle Knights season was the 36th in the club's history. Coached by Adam O'Brien and co-captained by Jayden Brailey and Kalyn Ponga, they competed in the NRL's 2023 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season in 5th place, thus reaching the finals. The Knights made it to the second week of finals, before being knocked out by the New Zealand Warriors.
