Passiflora Genus of flowering plants in the passion flower family

Passiflora, known also as the passion flowers or passion vines, is a genus of about 550 species of flowering plants, the type genus of the family Passifloraceae.

Xylosma Genus of flowering plants

Xylosma is a genus of flowering plants in the family Salicaceae. It contains around 100 species of evergreen shrubs and trees commonly known as brushhollies, xylosmas, or, more ambiguously, "logwoods". The generic name is derived from the Greek words ξύλον (xylon), meaning "wood, tree", and ὀσμή (osmé), meaning "smell", referring to the fragrant wood of some of the species. The Takhtajan system places it in the family Flacourtiaceae, which is considered defunct by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group.

Paullinia Genus of flowering plants

Paullinia is a genus of flowering shrubs, small trees and lianas in the soapberry family, Sapindaceae and typical of tribe Paullinieae. It is native to tropical South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Passiflora ligularis Species of plant

Passiflora ligularis, commonly known as the sweet granadilla or grenadia, is a plant species in the genus Passiflora. It is known as granadilla in Bolivia, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, The Azores, South Africa, and Peru, granadilla común in Guatemala, granadilla de China or parcha dulce in Venezuela, maracuja doce in Brazil, and granaditta in Jamaica.

Cleome Genus of flowering plants

Cleome is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cleomaceae, commonly known as spider flowers, spider plants, spider weeds, or bee plants. Previously, it had been placed in the family Capparaceae, until DNA studies found the Cleomaceae genera to be more closely related to the Brassicaceae than the Capparaceae. Cleome and clammyweed can sometimes be confused.

Pectis Genus of flowering plants

Pectis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae described as a genus by Linnaeus in 1759.

Sarcomphalus Genus of plants

Sarcomphalus is a genus of plants in the family Rhamnaceae.

Passiflora viridescens is a plant species native to Peru and Ecuador.

Varronia Genus of Boraginaceae plants

Varronia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Boraginaceae, found throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and in the US states of Texas and Florida. They were resurrected from Cordia in 2007.

Passiflora xiikzodz, the xiikzodz, is a species of flowering plant in the passion flower/passion fruit family Passifloraceae, native to southeastern Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. The specific epithet is derived from the Mayan vernacular name for the species, and means "bat-wing". It is closely related to Passiflora itzensis but attempts to cross-pollinate the two species do not result in any offspring. It is one of only two species which have eight concentric series of coronas; the most of any known plant.
