Shamrock Rovers Football Club is a football club from Dublin, Ireland. They compete in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland. They are the most successful club in the history of Irish football, having won 16 League of Ireland titles and 24 FAI Cups. They have also won the League of Ireland Shield on 18 occasions and the League of Ireland Cup once. This chronological list comprises all those who have held the position of manager or coach at Shamrock Rovers since the club first delegated control of the senior team to a single person, rather than a selection committee. Interim managers are included, where known, as well as those who have been in permanent charge. Each manager's entry includes his dates of tenure and the team's overall competitive record, in terms of matches won, drawn and lost, while under his management.

Drogheda United Football Club is a professional Irish association football club based in Drogheda, County Louth playing in the League of Ireland Premier Division. They play their home matches at Weavers Park.

The club's senior team competes in the League of Ireland Premier Division and it is the most successful club in the Republic of Ireland. The club has won the League of Ireland title a record 21 times and the FAI Cup a record 25 times. Shamrock Rovers have supplied more players to the Republic of Ireland national football team (64) than any other club. In All-Ireland competitions, such as the Intercity Cup, they hold the record for winning the most titles, having won seven cups overall.

Liam Tuohy was an Irish footballer and manager. During the 1950s and 1960s, Tuohy played as an outside left for Shamrock Rovers, Newcastle United, and the Republic of Ireland. In 1959, while playing for Ireland, Tuohy scored the first ever goal in the history of the European Championship. After retiring as a player, Tuohy became a coach and managed several clubs in the League of Ireland including Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk, and Shelbourne.

John Martin is an Irish football coach and former player. During his playing career, he played in the League of Ireland for UCD, Longford Town and Shamrock Rovers. He has managed Maynooth Town and Leixlip United in the Leinster Senior League and been assistant manager of Shelbourne and Longford Town, where he also spent a short period of time as interim manager.
Dundalk entered the 2020 season as the reigning League Champions and League of Ireland Cup holders from 2019. Having qualified for European football for the seventh season in a row, they were entered in the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League. It was manager Vinny Perth's second season as manager until his dismissal following Dundalk's exit from Europe in the first qualifying round of the Champions League. The 2020 season was Dundalk's 12th consecutive season in the top tier of Irish football, their 85th in all, and their 94th in the League of Ireland.
Dundalk entered the 2021 season as the FAI Cup holders, and were still the League of Ireland Cup holders, having won it in 2019, because of the competition not running in 2020. Having qualified for European football for the eighth season in a row, they were entered in the new UEFA Europa Conference League. 2021 was Dundalk's 13th consecutive season in the top tier of Irish football, their 86th in all, and their 95th in the League of Ireland.
