Zhengding has been an important religious center for more than 1,000 years, from at least the times of the Sui dynasty to the Qing dynasty. It is the founding place of several major schools of Chan Buddhism. However, many former religious building complexes have been severely damaged throughout history. A noted temple is the Longxing Monastery, where the historical building ensemble has been preserved almost intact. Furthermore, four famous pagodas, each with its own architectural style, are still standing.

The Taihang Mountains are a Chinese mountain range running down the eastern edge of the Loess Plateau in Shanxi, Henan and Hebei provinces. The range extends over 400 kilometres (250 mi) from north to south and has an average elevation of 1,500 to 2,000 metres. The principal peak is Mount Xiaowutai. The Taihang's eastern peak is Mount Cangyan in Hebei; Baishi Mountain forms its northern tip.

Luquan, formerly Huolu County until 1994, is one of the eight districts of the prefecture-level city of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, North China. Luquan lies in the foothills of the Taihang Mountains and is around 17 kilometres (11 mi) west of the provincial capital, Shijiazhuang, which administers Luquan. The town of Huolu, locally pronounced “Huailu”, is the urban center of Luquan District.

Bohai Economic Rim

The Bohai Economic Rim (BER) or Bohai Bay Economic Rim (BBER) is the economic region surrounding Tianjin (Tientsin). It also includes areas in Hebei, Liaoning and Shandong surrounding the Bohai Sea. This region has undergone major economic and infrastructural changes and is an emerging economic powerhouse of North China, rivaling both the Pearl River Delta in southern China and the Yangtze River Delta in eastern China.

The Shijiazhuang–Taiyuan high-speed railway, or the Shitai passenger railway is a 190-kilometre long (120 mi) high-speed railway operated by China Railway High-speed, running from Shijiazhuang to Taiyuan, respectively the provincial capitals of Hebei and Shanxi, at 250 kilometres per hour (160 mph). The railway opened on April 1, 2009. It now forms part of the Qingdao–Yinchuan corridor.

Shijiazhuang railway station

The Shijiazhuang railway station is the main railway station of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province of China. Over the city's history, the name has been applied to several different facilities located in the main Beijing-Guangzhou railway corridor. The current Shijiazhuang railway station was opened in December 2012; it is one of the very few stations in this railway corridor that serve both the ("conventional") Beijing–Guangzhou railway and the new Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed railway.

Taihang Tunnel is the third-longest mountain railway tunnel in northern China, after the New Guanjiao and West Qinling tunnels. It is a double track tunnel that was built to allow the Shijiazhuang–Taiyuan high-speed railway to cross the Taihang Mountains. The left track is 27,839 m (17.298 mi) long and the right one is 27,848 m (17.304 mi) long. Construction on the tunnel began on 11 June 2005 and the tunnel was opened on 22 December 2007.

Shijiazhuang–Jinan passenger railway

The Shijiazhuang–Jinan passenger railway, abbreviated Shiji passenger railway is a high-speed railway operated by China Railway High-speed, running between Shijiazhuang and Jinan, the provincial capitals of Hebei and Shandong, respectively. The line will additionally pass through and serve cities of Hengshui, Cangzhou and Dezhou. Traditionally, passengers travelling east from Shijiazhuang towards Shandong would need to detour towards Beijing or Tianjin. Its completion allowed trains to run directly between Shijiazhuang and Jinan at 250 km/h (160 mph), shortening travel times between the two cities from the previous 4 hours to 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed railway High-speed railway line in China

The Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong high-speed railway or Jingguangshengang high-speed railway from its Chinese name is a high-speed railway corridor of the CRH passenger service, connecting Beijingxi station in Beijing and West Kowloon station in Hong Kong. It is 2,230 kilometres (1,390 mi) long, and is the only Chinese high-speed railway to cross a border that requires immigration and customs clearance. The existing, conventional Jingguang railway runs largely parallel to the line.

Cangzhou Mighty Lions F.C. Chinese professional football club

Cangzhou Mighty Lions Football Club is a professional football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in Cangzhou, Hebei and their home stadium is the Cangzhou Stadium that has a seating capacity of 31,836. Their majority shareholder is the Yongchang Real Estate who own 70% of the shares of the club.

Line 3 (Shijiazhuang Metro)

Line 3 of the Shijiazhuang Metro is a rapid transit line in Shijiazhuang. It was officially open on 26 June 2017. The line is currently 26.7 km long with 22 stations.

The Qingdao–Yinchuan corridor is a China Railway High-speed line running from Qingdao, Shandong to Yinchuan, Ningxia. The line passes through the cities of Jinan, Shijiazhuang, and Taiyuan. Announced in 2016 as part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the line comprises the existing Qingdao–Taiyuan passenger railway and the Taiyuan–Zhongwei–Yinchuan railway.

Line 2 (Shijiazhuang Metro)

Line 2 of the Shijiazhuang Metro is a rapid transit line in Shijiazhuang. The line is 15.5 km (9.6 mi) long with 15 stations. It was opened on 26 August 2020.
