List of Surat Metro stations

This is a list of all stations of the Surat Metro , [1] an under-construction rapid transit system serving Surat City and Surat Metropolitan Region in the state of Gujarat, India. [2] [3] [4] The Surat Metro will be the sixth transit system to be built in India. The construction of Surat Metro was started on 18 January 2021 with 2 lines Red Line & Green Line with the total number of 38 stations, the project is expected to be completed by December 2027, [5] which will cover a distance of 41 kilometers. [6]

The metro network will allow Surat to connect with Sarthana to DREAM City (22-kilometre (14 mi)) and from Bhesan Depot to Saroli (18-kilometre (11 mi)). [7] [8]

Each line of the Surat Metro is identified by a specific color. The first corridor frome Sarthana to DREAM City will be known as Red Line and The second corridor from Bhesan Depot to Saroli will be known as Green Line. [9] The system uses rolling stocks of standard gauge trains and has a combination of elevated, underground and at-grade lines. [10]

It is the second longest operational metro network in India with an operational length of 73.75 kilometers just behind Delhi Metro. Upon its inauguration, it became the first underground metro system in South India. Namma Metro has a mix of underground, at grade, and elevated stations. Out of the 66 operational metro stations of Namma Metro as of October 2023, there are 57 elevated stations, eight underground stations and one at-grade station. Patna Metro (Patna MRTS) is a rapid transit system being constructed in the city of Patna, India. Construction will be completed over five phases, and the transit system would be owned and operated by the state-run Patna Metro Rail Corporation. In the first phase, five stations of Patna Metro will be operational by March 2025. Patna MRTS, constructed under a public-private partnership model, is estimated to cost 133,657.7 million (US$1.7 billion). This cost excludes land acquisition cost, which will be paid for by the Bihar government. The first phase (consisting of the east–west and north–south corridors) will include both a 15.36 km (9.54 mi) elevated track and a 16.30 km (10.13 mi) underground track.

Nagpur Metro is a rapid transit system for the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Phase I of the metro project cost was estimated to cost 8,650 crore but the final project cost incurred was 9,279 crore (US$1.2 billion). In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of the project, and the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on 21 August. Construction began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017.

The Surat Metro is an under-construction rapid transit rail system for Surat in the Surat Metropolitan Region, Gujarat state of India. The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System, also known as Delhi–Meerut RRTS and coloquially Rapid Rail, is an under-construction 82.15 km (51.05 mi)-long semi high-speed rail and regional rail corridor that will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. It is one of the three rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project is being executed at a cost of 30,274 crore (US$3.8 billion). It will start from Jangpura as the starting station, run through Sarai Kale Khan, the terminal for the three planned corridors, both in Delhi, and end in Modipuram in Meerut. It will have 16 stations and two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.

Line 1 of Surat Metro also known as The Red Line is an under-construction metro rail line of the Surat Metro, a rapid transit system in Surat, Gujarat, India. This line consists of 20 metro stations from Sarthana to DREAM City with a total distance of 21.61 km. 15.14 km of this distance will be elevated and 6.47 km underground. It is expected to be operational by December 2027.
