The following is a list of coaches who have coached the Sydney Swans at a game of Australian rules football in the Australian Football League (AFL), formally the VFL. They were known as South Melbourne prior to their relocation to Sydney in 1982.

The Sydney Swans are a professional Australian rules football club which plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). Established in Melbourne as the South Melbourne Football Club in 1874, the Swans relocated to Sydney in 1982, thus making it the first club in the competition to be based outside Victoria.

Auskick is a program designed to teach the basic skills of Australian rules football (AFL) to boys and girls aged between five and 12. A nationwide program in Australia, it has increased participation in the sport amongst children, and is employed in many countries across the world. It is known by different names in several countries, such as Kiwikick in New Zealand and Footywild in the South Africa. Auskick is notoriously held on a Friday night at 5:30 at Stradbroke park in Kew, Vic, Aus. Many events go down at this time like the auskickers having a ball with some amazing coaches and some beastly men who do their own things until the auskickers finish up. For anyone who helps out in this night is provided with free snags and soft drinks. The coaches all stay back every week and talk and muck around. There are two coaches that like to leave the group and do their own thing, God only knows what they do. Over all it is a great night for everyone who gets down.

Graham Arnold Australian soccer player

Graham James Arnold is an Australian association football manager and former player. Arnold was appointed to work as an assistant coach of the Australian national football team in 2000. After head coach Frank Farina was sacked in 2005, Arnold worked with Guus Hiddink for the 2006 FIFA World Cup campaign, in which they made the second round of the finals. After Hiddink left, he became acting coach of the Socceroos. Arnold went on take the manager role at A-League club the Central Coast Mariners between 2010 and 2013, where he guided the club to two premierships and a championship. He is a member of the Football Federation Australia Football Hall of Fame. He has now also won with Sydney FC in 2016–17 A-League.

John Blakey is a former Australian rules footballer who played 359 games in the Australian Football League.

Terrence "Terry" John Daniher is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the South Melbourne and Essendon Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Terry was also an assistant coach for the Essendon, Collingwood, St Kilda and Carlton Football Clubs. Terry's brothers, Neale, Anthony and Chris, also played for Essendon in the AFL. He is a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame and the Wagga Wagga Sporting Hall of Fame and is a Champion of Essendon. Terry is currently the owner of Terry Daniher Cleaning Services, a cleaning company based in Melbourne.

Arthur Hennessy Australian pioneer rugby league footballer and coach

Arthur Stephen "Ash" Hennessy was an Australian pioneer rugby league identity. He was a seminal figure in the creation of the South Sydney Rabbitohs for whom he played and later coached. He was a state and national representative hooker/forward and was the first captain of the Australian national rugby league team. He played for New South Wales in the very first rugby match run by the newly created 'New South Wales Rugby Football League' which had just split away from the established New South Wales Rugby Football Union. He later coached at club, state and national representative levels.

John Cameron "Jack" Sheedy is a former Australian rules footballer and coach. He played for East Fremantle and East Perth in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) and South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Sheedy is considered one of the greatest ever footballers from Western Australia, and is a member of both the Australian and West Australian Football Halls of Fame. Overall, he played 360 senior football matches from 1946 to 1962, kicking 528 goals, and coached 272 games, with a winning percentage of 65%.

Daniel McPherson is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League. Originally from Matong, a small town in New South Wales, McPherson played for the Swans between 1994 and 2003. He has served as the forward coach of the Melbourne Football Club since October 2013.
