Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat , a Pakistani comedy-drama directed by Marina Khan & Nadeem Baig, premiered on GEO TV on Thursday June 23, 2011 in Pakistan at its regular time slot, i.e. Thursday at 8:00 pm PST. [1]
The drama is based on the love story of Sooki (Uroosa Siddiqui) and Mushtaq aka "Takkay" (Ali Safina) as to how they came to tie the knot of marriage but not before a whole host of twists and turns along the way. The third installment features all the characters from previous two excluding Anna (who has not appeared after the first serial). The role of Sila, played by Ayesha Omar in Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat is now played by newcomer Alishba Yousuf & the role of Azar, previously played by Hasan Niazi is now played by Ahsan Khan.

Agha Sajjad Gul is a producer, director and one of the biggest media moguls in Pakistan. He is the youngest of the sons of renowned film studio owner and a pioneer of Pakistan film industry, the late Agha G. A. Gul (1913–1983). Aijaz, Riaz and Shahzad are the other sons of the late Agha G. A. Gul, the original owner and creator of Evernew Studios, on Multan Road, Lahore, Pakistan after the Independence of Pakistan in 1947. The Late Agha G. A. Gul still remains one of the pioneers of Pakistan film industry along with the film producers and studio owners, Shaukat Hussain Rizvi and Anwar Kamal Pasha. Sajjad Gul owns the film production house Evernew Studios in Lahore and he is the CEO of one of the media houses in Pakistan, Evernew Group. He is currently managing 8 companies: Evernew Concept, Evernew Entertainment, Evernew Pictures, Evernew Studios, Evernew Carat, Evernew Solutions, Evernew Films and Evernew Music, which will launch soon. Apart from overseeing and managing the studio, Sajjad Gul has closely been linked to the development and growth of Pakistani cinema.
Jawed Sheikh is a Pakistani actor, film director and producer who works in Lollywood and Bollywood. He is best known for working in the Hindi films Om Shanti Om, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves, etc.
Naveen Waqar is a Pakistani television actress and former video and radio jockey. She is best known for her negative role as Sara in 2012 series Humsafar. Her television appearances includes a series of acclaim projects including Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat, Uff Meri Family, Alvida, Mol, Saya-e-Deewar Bhi Nahi, Kuch Na Kaho, Be Inteha, Tajdeed-e-Wafa and Mah-e-Tamaam. She made her film debut in 2013 with social-drama film Josh: Independence Through Unity, which was a critical and commercial success.
Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat is a Pakistani comedy-drama that aired on Geo TV from June 2011 to October 2011. The third instalment of its kind, it is a continuation of the hit Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat in the Evernew's popular storyline of Kis Ki Ayegi Baraat. The show includes most of the characters from Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat, and focuses on the story of Mustaq a.k.a. Takkay and Sila's friend Sukena. Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat is written by Vasay Chaudry who had co written the previous serial as well. The character of Sila, previously played by Sarwat Gilani and Ayesha Omar in the first and second serials respectively, is played by Alishba Yousuf. This is the third time the character of Sila has been played by a different actress. And the character of Azar is now played by Ahsan Khan.
Hina Dilpazeer Khan credited as Hina Dilpazeer is a Pakistani actress, comedian and host. Known for her comic roles, she is widely regarded as one of the popular comedian and actresses of Pakistan. Khan made her first professional screen debut in Fasih Bari Khan's telefilm Burns Road Ki Neelofar in 2008 as Saeeda, for which she received 2009 Kara Film Festival award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role. Alishba Yousuf is a Pakistani VJ, model and actress who works in Pakistani television series and telefilms. She has appeared in supporting roles in several television series, including Main Abdul Qadir Hoon (2010), Takkay ki Ayegi Baraat (2011), Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley (2012), Annie ki Ayegi Baraat (2012), Sargoshi (2016) and Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay (2012).

Vasay Chaudhry is a Pakistani screenwriter, actor, director, producer, host, and comedian. He is best known for writing sitcoms and comedy-dramas for Pakistani televisions. He is also known for writing films. He wrote Main Hoon Shahid Afridi and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. While Mai Hoon Shahid Afridi was an average success, Jawani phir Nahe ani went on to become the highest grossing film of Pakistan cinema and broke all the previous Box office records while earning more than 490 million at the box office. He also wrote Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which was released on 2018 Eid al-Adha and broke the all time biggest box office grosses record.It also went on to become the First Pakistani film to make 700 Million rupees worldwide. Chaudhry is also known for hosting the comedy show, Mazaaq Raat, on Dunya News since 2015. His name is sometimes misspelled as Wasay, Wassay, Wesay or Vassay in print and electronic media.
Shehzad Sheikh is a Pakistani television and film actor. He is the son of Pakistani actor, director and producer Jawed Sheikh. He made his acting debut with the television series Dreamers (2011), and has since gained success with starring roles in several successful television series, including the comedy Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat (2012), the teen romance Choti Si Zindagi (2016), the romantic drama Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai (2017), the spiritual drama Alif Allah Aur Insaan (2017), the religious drama Qurban (2017), and the romances Tabeer (2018), Anaa (2019). In 2020, his performance in the serial Raaz-e-Ulfat was highly praised. In 2021 for the first time, Sheikh played a negative role of Sahil in HUM TV's Phaans.
Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat is a Pakistani drama serial and second installment of the Baraat Series, aired on Geo Entertainment in 2010. The series stars Bushra Ansari, Saba Hameed, Javed Sheikh, Samina Ahmed, Natasha Ali and Nabeel Butt, respired their roles from the previous season while Ali Safina and Ayesha Omer joined for this season. Directed by Nadeem Baig and Marina Khan, the script was co-written by Bushra Ansari and Vasay Chaudhry. The story revolves around the marriage and wedding plans of Azar's cousin Dolly and also focuses on the themes of cultural clash and our attitude towards the class system of society.

She is best known for her role as Sukhi in Baraat series and got her first leading role in 3rd season of Baraat series Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat. Nadeem Baig is Pakistani film and television director, producer and writer from Karachi. Baig won the Lux Style Award For Best Director for Punjab Nahi Jaungi.

It is loosely based on the marriage ceremonies took place in Punjabi families in Punjab, and stars Bushra Ansari as a comical woman named Saima Chaudhry along with Saba Hameed, Javed Shaikh and Shehryar Zaidi.
