The Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) is a Central European country and member of the European Union, G4, G7, the G20, the Organizations for Economic Co-operation and Development and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). It maintains a network of 229 diplomatic missions abroad and holds relations with more than 190 countries. As one of the world's leading industrialized countries it is recognized as a major power in European and global affairs.
The Federal Foreign Office, abbreviated AA, is the foreign ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany, a federal agency responsible for both the country's foreign policy and its relationship with the European Union. It is a cabinet-level ministry. Since December 2021, Annalena Baerbock has served as Foreign Minister, succeeding Heiko Maas. The primary seat of the ministry is at the Werderscher Markt square in the Mitte district, the historic centre of Berlin.

Walter J. Lindner is an ex-German diplomat and professional musician. He is the former state secretary of the German Foreign office from February 2017- March 2019. In his last posting before retirement, he was ambassador of Germany to India from 2019-2022. As a musician he has released five records with a sixth album in the works. He has served as the ambassador to Kenya, also Somalia, Burundi, Seychelles, Venezuela and South Africa, Lesotho und Swaziland. Lindner also served as Special Representative of the German Government for the fight against Ebola (Ambassador).
The Embassy of Germanyin Paris is the chief diplomatic mission of Germany in France. It is located on Avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The current German Ambassador to France is Hans-Dieter Lucas.
Germany–Ghana relations are good and Ghana is one of the priority countries for German development aid. Official Diplomatic Relations between the two countries were established in the 1950s, but contacts between the two societies go back much further and can be traced back to the 17th century.

Géza Andreas von Geyr is a German civil servant and diplomat. Since August 2023 he has been Permanent Representative of Germany to NATO and, as such, Germany's designated representative on the North Atlantic Council. He was previously German ambassador to Russia from 2019 to 2023.
