The ambassador from Israel to the United Kingdom is Israel's foremost diplomatic representative in the United Kingdom. The Ambassador is based in the Embassy of Israel, London.

Nahal Yam was a Nahal settlement in the Israeli-occupied Sinai Peninsula. Located 80 kilometres (50 mi) to the east of the Suez Canal, it was established on 3 October 1967, four months after the Six-Day War. On 9 March 1973, seven months before the Yom Kippur War, Nahal Yam was slated to be abandoned in favour of a nearby fishing village. Upon the signing of the Egypt–Israel peace treaty on 26 March 1979, Israel began withdrawing from the Sinai Peninsula and finished returning it to Egypt on 25 April 1982.

On 18 September 1972, a letter bomb mailed from Amsterdam to the Israeli embassy in London killed Dr. Ami Y. Shachori, the Israeli agriculture attaché at the Israeli embassies in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. Theodor Kaddar, Shachori's designated replacement, was injured in the blast. Shachori had been in London since 1968. His role at the embassy was to promote Israeli agricultural products. He was a soil expert and a graduate of the University of California and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Yehuda Gaulan was the Israeli Ambassador to Greece from 1970 until 1974; minister to Denmark in 1954, Consul General in Montreal from 1954 until 1957 and Ambassador to Finland from 1960 to 1964.

Mordechai Eliash, also spelled Mordecai Eliash, was an Israeli attorney and diplomat. At a time when most Zionists were not observant Jews, and most observant Jews were not Zionists, he quickly became one of the leading lawyers in Mandatory Palestine after his arrival in 1919. Amidst a rise in intercommunal violence, Eliash represented the Jewish community to the Shaw Commission in 1929, the Western Wall Commission in 1930, and the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry in 1946.
