He wrote and directed Something Organic (1998), The Pornographer (2001),Tiresia (2003), Cindy: The Doll Is Mine (2005), On War (2008), House of Tolerance (2011), Saint Laurent (2014), Nocturama (2016), Zombi Child (2019), Coma (2022), and The Beast (2023). He also starred in Portrait of the Artist (2015), and Titane (2021). He was nominated for the César Award for Best Director for Saint Laurent, and was named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2015.

Nocturama is a 2016 thriller film written and directed by Bertrand Bonello. It was released in France on 31 August 2016, and in the US by Grasshopper Film on 11 August 2017. It tells the story of a group of young, multiracial radicals committing a series of terrorist attacks in Paris.

<i>Eva</i> (2018 film) 2017 film

Eva is a 2018 romantic drama film written and directed by Benoît Jacquot, based on the 1945 novel Eve by James Hadley Chase. Starring Isabelle Huppert and Gaspard Ulliel, the film tells the story of a young fraudster who causes the death of a girl who loves him because of his obsession for an older high-class prostitute. It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.

Combining animation and live action, it tells the story of a teenage girl who is locked in her house during a global health crisis and navigates between dreams and reality, until she starts following a disturbing and mysterious YouTuber named Patricia Coma. It stars Louise Labèque, Julia Faure, Gaspard Ulliel, Laetitia Casta, Vincent Lacoste, Louis Garrel and Anaïs Demoustier. Coma was the last film Ulliel worked in before his death.

It stars Léa Seydoux and George MacKay, with Guslagie Malanda and Dasha Nekrasova in supporting roles.

20,000 Species of Bees is a 2023 Spanish drama film written and directed by Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren in her debut feature and starring Sofía Otero, Patricia López Arnaiz, Ane Gabarain and Itziar Lazkano. The film narrates the story of Lucía, an eight-year-old girl, who is on a quest for identity. During a summer in a village house linked to beekeeping, she explores her femininity alongside the women of her family who at the same time reflect on their own femininity.

<i>Tótem</i> (film) 2023 Mexican drama film

Tótem is a 2023 drama film written and directed by Lila Avilés. The film depicts the story of seven-year-old Sol, who is spending the day at her grandfather's home, for a surprise party for Sol's father, Tonatiuh. As daylight fades, Sol comes to understand that her world is about to change dramatically. It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere on 20 February 2023. It is a co-production between Mexico, Denmark and France.

Night Shift is a 2020 drama film directed by Anne Fontaine, who co-wrote the screenplay with Claire Barré. It is an adaptation of the 2016 novel Police by Hugo Boris. It is a co-production between France and Belgium. The film stars Omar Sy, Virginie Efira, Grégory Gadebois and Payman Maadi. It had its world premiere at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival on 23 February 2020. It was released in France and Belgium on 2 September 2020.

The Empire is a 2024 apocalyptic science fiction comedy-drama film written and directed by Bruno Dumont. The international co-production between France, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Portugal premiered on 18 February 2024 at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear Jury Prize. It was theatrically released in France on 21 February 2024.

Teddy Lussi-Modeste is a French Romani film director, screenwriter and literature teacher. He wrote and directed the films Jimmy Rivière (2011), The Price of Success (2017), and The Good Teacher (2024).

<i>Direct Action</i> (film) 2024 documentary film
