The following is a list of awards and nominations received by American filmmaker Michael Bay. Bay has received five MTV Movie Awards: Best Movie and Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet for Transformers and Best Action Sequence for Pearl Harbor , Bad Boys II and The Rock . In 1994, Bay was honored by the Directors Guild of America with an award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials. [1] Bay received the ShoWest 2009 Vanguard Award for excellence in filmmaking at the confab of theater owners. [2] In 2011 Bay was honored at the Transformers Hall of Fame for directing the Transformers live-action films. [3]

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a 2009 American science fiction action film based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line. The film is the second installment in the Transformers film series and the sequel to Transformers (2007). The film is directed by Michael Bay and written by Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman. Taking place two years after the previous film, the story revolves around Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, and Sam Witwicky, who is caught once again in the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, led by Megatron. Sam begins having strange visions of Cybertronian symbols, and is being hunted by the Decepticons under the orders of an ancient Decepticon named The Fallen, who seeks to get revenge on Earth by finding and activating a machine that would provide the Decepticons with an energon source, destroying the Sun and all life on Earth in the process.

Transformers is a series of science fiction action films based on the Transformers franchise of the 1980s. Michael Bay directed the first five films: Transformers (2007), Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Dark of the Moon (2011), Age of Extinction (2014), and The Last Knight (2017), and has served as a producer for subsequent films. A sixth film Bumblebee, directed by Travis Knight and produced by Bay, was released on December 21, 2018. A seventh film, Rise of the Beasts, directed by Steven Caple Jr., is to be released on June 9, 2023.

The official Transformers Hall of Fame was created by Hasbro to honor the most distinguished people behind the Transformers toy and entertainment franchise, along with some of the more popular Transformers characters. The Hall of Fame contains 32 characters and 22 humans as of April 2022.

American director and producer Michael Bay started his career directing music videos and commercials. This included a commercial for the American Red Cross in 1992 which received a Clio Award, and music videos for Donny Osmond, Styx and Meat Loaf. Jerry Bruckheimer recognizing his achievements on commercials offered the chance to direct one of his productions as Bay's feature film debut. Bay did so with Bruckheimer's action comedy Bad Boys starring Will Smith, and Martin Lawrence. In the same year he also received a Directors Guild of America Award for his work on commercials. Bay followed this with action film The Rock starring Sean Connery, and Nicolas Cage. The film was a commercial success grossing over $335 million at the worldwide box office.
