This is a list of candidates in 2017 Iranian presidential election which were held on 19 May 2017.
According to Iranian electoral law, all Iranian citizens have the right to nominate themselves. A total of 1636 persons registered for the presidential election, of which 1499 were men and 137 women. [1] The youngest candidate was 18 and the oldest 92.
This list includes prominent candidates who announced, withdrew, declined or were disqualified their nomination for the election.

Saeed Jalili is an Iranian conservative politician and diplomat who was secretary of the Supreme National Security Council from 2007 to 2013. He is currently member of the Expediency Discernment Council.
Mostafa Kavakebian is an Iranian reformist politician who was the representative of Tehran at the Parliament of Iran, from 2016 to 2020. He has formerly represented Semnan and Mehdishahr in the parliament from 2008 until 2012.

Hassan Rouhani, the incumbent President of Iran, launched his reelection campaign for the Presidential office in February 2017. Rouhani achieved a decisive victory after the May 2017 vote, with Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli announcing that out of 41.3 million total votes cast Rouhani got 23.6 million. Presidential elections were held in Iran on 18 June 2021, the thirteenth since the establishment of the Islamic Republic in 1979. Ebrahim Raisi, the then Chief Justice of Iran, was declared the winner in a highly controversial election. Mostafa Faghihi is an Iranian reformist journalist. He has also been the former editor-in-chief and current owner of Entekhab and media consultant to Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
