The following is a list of events that have been held at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, Australia.
In 2004, Dreamworld held a Halloween themed night event called Fright Night during April 2004. The event was the first ever Halloween themed event at any Gold Coast amusement park. The event was also the final time guests could experience Lara Croft Tomb Raider - Enter the Tomb before it was closed and replaced by new Wiggles themed rides. [1] [2] In 2019, Dreamworld announced a family friendly Halloween event that will be held in October instead of April. The event would feature Gold Coast's largest trick or treating event, a family hay maze, a costume contest and much more entertainment. [3] In 2020, Dreamworld was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its events such as Park After Dark and Winterfest were cancelled. Happy Halloween however returned for 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic, unlike Movie World's Fright Nights which was subsequently cancelled. The reason was that because of the very successful result of the previous year's event, Dreamworld was committed to bring back the event for another year. [4] The 2020 event would include escape rooms with two different storylines and a costume contest.
Spring County Fair was introduced in 2021 for the Australian spring season. The event is themed to a county fair. The event consists of a interactive petting zoo, a dedicated food and beverage precinct, a chain sawing demonstration, line dancing, acoustic music and craft beers. Show bags are sold throughout the park along with carnival games. [5]
Winterfest was introduced in 2019 for the Australian winter season. The event is themed to European winter. The event is held during both the day and night. The 2019 event consisted of several photo opportunities, a toboggan slide and an indoor ice skating rink. During the event, a European food outlet is held at the “Food Market” in Ocean Parade. Winterfest was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 25 May 2021, Dreamworld announced the 2021 event. The event is set to include a temporary retheme of rides, attractions and food and shopping outlets. The event will also feature a new European food precinct, several photo opportunities, ice skating arena and an ice maze. [6]
Park After Dark (formerly Screamworld) is a night time event held at Dreamworld after park hours. The event is held several times a year. Each Park After Dark event is themed differently. [7] The event was inaugurated on 24 June 2017, with the first event being themed as “Thrillathon”. [8] As of May 2021, only one event “Illusions” was cancelled. The event consists of ride's at night, special entertainment and attractions. The event is set to return to coincide with Winterfest.
ABC Kids Month (formerly Kids Month) was an annual kids event held for a month from 2017 to 2019. The event was usually held from May to June. The event contained several appearances of ABC Kids characters along with special performances by The Wiggles. Characters such as Peppa Pig and PJ Masks would appear and perform. [9] ABC Kids Month did not return in 2020 and it is currently unknown whether it will return.
Dreamworld's 30th Birthday was a birthday event held throughout 2010 and 2011 to celebrate the parks 30th birthday. The event consisted of several special live performances, a T-shirt competition, the addition of new attractions and a new precinct. [10] New attractions included: BuzzSaw, Shockwave and The Lair. The event saw a 41.3% increase in attendance and a 6.7% increase in revenue. [10]
Xtremeworld was an event that was first introduced in the 1990s. Xtremeworld consisted of stunts performed on skateboards, roller blades, BMX bikes and motocross. Since then, Dreamworld has held a total of three events, with the last being held in late 2005 and early 2006.
Throughout summer school holidays Dreamworld holds several special live shows and exhibits. These included (but are not limited to): Monster Trucks - Thrillmasters, The Fire Machine, Fun House and Bluey Live, MTV Plugs Into Dreamworld, Pirate of the Pacific and Moscow Circus.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas, formerly known simply as Fiesta Texas, is a theme park located in Northwest San Antonio. It opened on March 14, 1992, in the La Cantera master-planned development and district as the first business in that development. Spanning 200 acres (81 ha), the park was originally built to become a destination musical show park with its focus on the musical culture of the state of Texas. The park was purchased by Time Warner in 1995, and branded as a Six Flags park for the 1996 season.

WhiteWater World is a seasonal water park situated in the suburb of Coomera on the Gold Coast, Australia. It is owned and operated by Ardent Leisure and is the sister park to Dreamworld.
The Gold Coaster is a steel roller coaster operating at Dreamworld. The roller coaster is one of the tallest in the Southern Hemisphere, after originally being the tallest when it was first built. Designed by Arrow Dynamics, built in Melbourne by Able Leisure Pty. Ltd the ride was originally installed at Luna Park Sydney in 1995 as the Big Dipper before being sold and relocated to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast in 2001. When it was brought to Dreamworld, the ride was the first roller coaster to be opened on the Gold Coast since 1997. The roller coaster was named Cyclone from 2001 until 2015 when it was refurbished and named Hot Wheels SideWinder as part of the new Motorsport Experience themed land from 2015 to 2020.
Fright Nights is a seasonal Halloween event held at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The event began in 2006 as Halloween Family Fun Night as a single night event and has since evolved into a major park event across a month. It features themed mazes, shows and rides. Fright Nights also refers to the Halloween special event at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey, England, which opened in 2002.
Main Street is a themed land at the Dreamworld amusement park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The area acts as the main hub for the park catering as a gateway to many other lands including Gold Rush Country, DreamWorks Experience and Ocean Parade.
Ocean Parade is a themed land at the Dreamworld amusement park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It features 3 of the Big 7 Thrill Rides at Dreamworld. The Claw, The Gold Coaster and Tail Spin. Are within close proximity of each other. Ocean Parade has an Australian beach culture theme, and has beach-themed rides scattered around the area. It currently provides a link between Main Street, Kenny and Belinda's Dreamland, and the adjacent water park WhiteWater World.
Kenny and Belinda's Dreamland is a land at the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is the park's children's section, containing attractions themed to Dreamworld mascots Kenny and Belinda the Koala, as well ABC Kids programmes such as Play School, Bananas in Pyjamas and The Wiggles.
Rivertown is a upcoming themed at the Dreamworld amusement park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It will replace the existing ABC Kids World and provide a link between Main Street and the Dreamworld Corroboree. The area previously existed from the park's opening in 1981 until being merged into Main Street in the 2010s.

BuzzSaw was a Maurer AG SkyLoop roller coaster located within the Gold Rush Country section of the Dreamworld amusement park on the Gold Coast of Australia. The ride began operation on 17 September 2011 as part of Dreamworld's 30th birthday celebrations. The ride was permanently closed on 31 August 2021, due to Dreamworld prioritising future development plans.
Vintage Cars Adventure is a vintage car ride at the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The ride, which opened with Dreamworld in 1981, allows guests to drive around in replicas of 1911 Model T Fords. The ride is set to receive a refurbishment and relocation in 2024.
The history of Dreamworld dates back to the mid-1970s when John Longhurst envisioned the future theme park. After a seven-year construction period, Dreamworld officially opened to the public on 15 December 1981. Now owned by publicly listed Ardent Leisure, the park has seen many expansions, closures and replacements over its 30-year history.
Serpent Slayer is an amusement ride in the Ocean Parade area of Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, Australia. The Zamperla Air Race 6.4 ride is featured as one of Dreamworld's Big 9 Thrill Rides. The ride was previous known as Pandamonium, as part of the "Land of Awesomeness" area within the DreamWorks Experience precinct, and was themed to the Kung-Fu Panda films.
Six Flags Great Escape and Hurricane Harbor is an amusement and water park owned and operated by Six Flags. It is located approximately 60 miles (97 km) north of Albany, in Queensbury, New York. It was one of three Six Flags parks not to be officially branded with the "Six Flags" name until 2022, with La Ronde in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and Frontier City in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, being the last two without the Six Flags branding.
Steel Taipan is a steel launched roller coaster at Dreamworld in Coomera, Queensland, Australia. Steel Taipan serves as a direct replacement to the former Thunder River Rapids Ride. The roller coaster is the first triple-launched coaster in the Southern Hemisphere, and is named after the deadly Taipan family of snakes native to Australia.
The Big Red Car Ride was a dark ride that takes 6 guests at a time on a 120-metre (390 ft) car journey through the Wiggles' house. The house features Wag's Kennel, Henry's Underwater Big Band, and Dorothy's rosy garden. The attraction opened with Wiggles World on 17 September 2005 and closed on 12 August 2020.
