Shenzhen is a major sub-provincial city on the east bank of the Pearl River estuary on the central coast of southern Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. It forms part of the Pearl River Delta megalopolis, bordering Hong Kong to the south, Huizhou to the northeast and Dongguan to the northwest, and shares maritime boundaries with Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai to the west and southwest across the estuary.

Shenzhen Airlines is an airline headquartered in Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, Guangdong. It has been a member of Star Alliance since 2012, and is currently one of two Chinese airlines that is part of the global airline network.
Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is the airport serving Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It is located on the east bank of the Pearl River near Huangtian and Fuyong villages in Bao'an District, and is 32 km (20 mi) northwest of the city center. It is a hub for Shenzhen Airlines and Shenzhen Donghai Airlines and for cargo airline SF Airlines, and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The airport also serves as an Asian-Pacific cargo hub for UPS Airlines. The airport is undergoing major expansions with a second runway completed and opened in 2011 and a new terminal which opened in 2013.
The Beijing–Jiujiang–Kowloon railway, also known as the Jingjiu railway is a railway connecting Beijing West Station in Beijing to Shenzhen Station in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It is connected with Hong Kong's East Rail across the border which terminates at Hung Hom Station in Kowloon.

Shenzhen University is a public university established in 1983 located in Nanshan district, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is accredited by the State Council of the People's Republic of China and is funded by the Shenzhen City Government. The university took its first enrollment the same year at what Deng Xiaoping called "Shenzhen Speed". Deng also was named the "father of Shenzhen University." It is regarded as the fastest developing university in China, and also one of the "Top 100 Universities in China" and one of the top university which is listed in the World Top Ranking Universities. A famous alumnus is Ma Huateng, the founder and CEO of Tencent.

The Xiamen–Shenzhen railway, also known as the Xiashen railway, is a dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail line connecting the major coastal cities of Xiamen in Fujian and Shenzhen in Guangdong. The line has a total length of 502.4 km (312.2 mi) and forms part of China's Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway. Construction of the Xiashen Line began on November 23, 2007, and the line entered into operation on December 28, 2013.
Shenzhen CFC Changfu Centre (Chinese:长富金茂大厦) is a supertall skyscraper in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is 304.3 metres (998.4 ft) tall. Construction started in 2011 and was completed in January 2016.
China Resources Tower (中国华润大厦), colloquially known as the Spring Bamboo (春笋), is a 392-metre (1,286.1 ft) supertall skyscraper in Houhai, Nanshan, Shenzhen, Guangdong. Construction started in 2012 and the building topped out on July 1, 2016. It surpassed Shun Hing Square as the 3rd tallest building in Shenzhen upon its completion in 2018. It is owned by China Resources where the latter also has its headquarters.
Zhongzhou Holdings Financial Center is a 303-metre (994-foot) supertall skyscraper in Nanshan district, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Construction started in 2009 and was completed in 2014. The building is mixed-use and contains a 340-room Marriott hotel with a large atrium in the upper floors. The atrium is clearly visible from the outside.
One Shenzhen Bay are a group of skyscrapers under construction in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The tallest of which will have a height of 338 metres (1,109 ft). Construction began in 2014 and is expected to end in 2018.
The Shenzhen Japanese School is a Japanese international school in the Xinchen Dasha, Shekou Industrial Zone, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. As of 2007, the largest group of foreigners in Shenzhen are in Shekou, and the Japanese school was one of many foreign schools in that area. As of 2018 it is one of eight schools in Shenzhen designated for children of foreign workers.
