<span class="mw-page-title-main">Supreme Court of Illinois</span> Highest court in the U.S. state of Illinois

The Supreme Court of Illinois is the state supreme court, the highest court of the judiciary of Illinois. The court's authority is granted in Article VI of the current Illinois Constitution, which provides for seven justices elected from the five appellate judicial districts of the state: three justices from the First District and one from each of the other four districts. Absent mid-term vacancy, each justice is elected for a term of ten years, which may be renewed and the chief justice is elected by the court from its members for a three-year term.

Barrie City Council is the governing body for the City of Barrie, in Ontario, Canada.

Robert Simpson was a Canadian brewer and politician who served as the first mayor of Barrie from 1871 to 1872, and again as its third mayor in 1876. He also founded the Simcoe Steam Brewery, and the 21st-century Robert Simpson Brewing Company was named in his honour.

The Auditor of the Literary and Historical Society at University College Dublin, Ireland is a position elected by the members of the society. In this setting, the term auditor has no connection with accounting but means "a position corresponding to that of President of the Union at Oxford or Cambridge". Some former auditors of the society have gone on to careers of high distinction in law, politics, medicine, academia, journalism, and other endeavours.

Princeton was founded by Europeans in the latter part of the 17th century. Because of a dispute over school taxes, the municipality split into the Borough of Princeton and Princeton Township in 1894, and both became fully independent municipalities. On January 1, 2013, the two consolidated as Princeton under a borough form of government.

The town of Stafford, Staffordshire, England gained its mayoral charter from King James I. The first mayor was Matthew Cradock, jnr in 1614.

Alexander Nuttall is a Canadian politician who serves as the 47th and current mayor of Barrie. Previously, he served on Barrie City Council from 2006 until 2014, and as the member of Parliament for the federal electoral district of Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte from 2015 to 2019. Nuttall won the 2022 Barrie municipal election and is now serving as Barrie's 47th mayor.
