The surroundings of some protected area are declared ecologically important areas, a wider, super-areas which may comprise more, territorially disconnected, singular protected areas. Together, they all form the proclaimed ecological network of Serbia, and are based on some internationally declared important areas. [14] [15] [16]

Sredorek is a historical and geographical region in northeastern Republic of Macedonia. It includes settlements in the Pčinja river valley, parts of the mountainous regions of Kozjak (Kozjačija), German and Rujen, which are today located within the Municipality of Staro Nagoričane. It is located in Knez Mihailova Street, a pedestrian zone and a commercial hub of the city. The Old Telephone Exchange is a building located in Belgrade, Serbia, at 47 Kosovska Street. It was built according to the project by Branko Tanazević for the telephone exchange and is the first such building in Serbia. It was completed in 1908. The third floor was added later, after the First World War. The building is under state protection since 1981 as a cultural property of great importance. Conservation works were performed in 1988.

Osredak Special Nature Reserve is a natural monument in central Serbia. It has been declared a special nature reserve in 2020 in order to preserve the wetlands in the West Morava Valley. The wetland is important for the preservation of the water quality of the West Morava and is the only important wetland locality in the radius of 100 km (62 mi).
