Mylène Jeanne Gautier, known professionally as Mylène Farmer, is a French singer and songwriter. Having sold more than 30 million records worldwide, she is among the most successful recording artists of all time in France, where she holds the record for the most number one hit singles, with twenty-one – eight of which were consecutive.
SNEP is the inter-professional organisation that protects the interests of the French record industry. Originally known under the acronym SNICOP, the organisation was established in 1922 and has 48 member companies.
An NRJ Music Award is an award presented by the French radio station NRJ to honor the best in the French and worldwide music industry. The awards ceremony, created in 2000 by NRJ in partnership with the television network TF1, traditionally took place every year in mid-January at Cannes as the opening of MIDEM. It is now held in the month of November. They give out awards to popular musicians in different categories.
La Bohème is a song written by French lyricist Jacques Plante and Armenian-French musician Charles Aznavour. It is Aznavour's signature song, as well as one of the most popular French-language songs and a staple of French chanson.
"L'amour n'est rien..." is a 2005 song recorded by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer. The song was released as the fourth single from Farmer's sixth studio album Avant que l'ombre... on 27 March 2006. "L'Amour n'est rien..." was illustrated by a music video which was perhaps one of the simplest in singer's career, and in which she performs a striptease. The song had some success in France, where it reached the top ten, but was especially successful in Russia where it was often aired on the radio.
"C'est une belle journée" is a 2001 song recorded by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer. It was the second single from her best of Les Mots and was released on 16 April 2002. The song contains melancholy lyrics set to dance music and was illustrated by a cartoon video produced by Farmer's boyfriend. It achieved great success in France where it remained ranked for several months on the top 50.
"Rêver" is a 1995 song recorded by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer. It was the fifth single from her fourth album Anamorphosée and was released on 16 November 1996. In spite of moderate sales and chart performances, the song remains one of the most known by the general public because of the subjects it deals with, notably war and a call for tolerance.
"Stolen Car (Take Me Dancing)" is a song by Sting, released as the third single from his album Sacred Love on 26 April 2004. It topped the Dance Club Songs chart in the United States in August 2004. A remix of the song featuring will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas, titled: "Stolen Car (Take Me Dancing) (Batson-Doc-Will.I.Am Remix)", was released on May 18, 2004.
"Libertine" is a 1986 song recorded by French artist Mylène Farmer. It was the third single from her first studio album Cendres de lune and was released on 1 April 1986 and met success on the French chart, becoming Farmer's first big hit. The long form music video, produced as a short film, contains explicitly sexual and violent scenes. In 2002, the song was successfully covered by Belgian singer Kate Ryan, who reached the top 20 in several European countries.
Monkey Me is the ninth studio album by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer, and her 18th album overall. Preceded by the lead single "À l'ombre", which peaked at number-one in France, the album was released on 3 December 2012.
Kendji "Girac" Jason Maillié, also known mononymously as Kendji, is a French singer. He is the winner of season 3 of the music competition The Voice: la plus belle voix as part of Team Mika. He has released five studio albums, Kendji,Ensemble, Amigo, Mi Vida, and L'école de la vie, as well as a string of hit singles.
"Andalouse" is a song recorded by French singer Kendji Girac. It was written by Rachid Mir, Christian Dessart and Nazim Khaled, being produced by The Bionix. The song was released by Mercury Records on 18 August 2014 as the lead single from Girac's debut eponymous album, Kendji. "Andalouse" is a dance-pop song with influences of Latin and Indian music, with the singer also having a conversation in Spanish.
"No Me Mires Más" is a song by Kendji Girac featuring Soprano from the album Ensemble. The song peaked at No 7 on the French Singles Chart on 12 February 2016.
Ensemble is the second studio album by French singer Kendji Girac. It was released on 30 October 2015, with "Me Quemo" released as the debut single from the album. The album has surpassed sales of a million copies as of 2019 and was certified diamond in France and 2× platinum on Belgian francophone charts.
Amigo is the third studio album by Kendji Girac. It was released on 31 August 2018 with "Maria Maria" released as the debut single from the album. The tracks were mostly written by Girac himself and music composed by Renaud Rebillaud. Vianney contributed in 2 tracks. Damso, Felipe Saldivia, Fred Savio & Florian Rossi pitched in with various tracks as well. The album peaked the French Albums Chart and was certified 3× platinum in France.
Mi Vida is the fourth studio album by French singer Kendji Girac. It was released on 9 October 2020 by Island Def Jam.
