Muzaffargarh is a city in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. Located on the bank of the Chenab River, it is the capital of the district with the same name. It is the 39th largest city of Pakistan by population.

He is from the village of Karmanwala, Okara District and resides in Lahore, Punjab. He was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from October 2018 till January 2023. He had been Provincial Minister of Punjab for Information and Culture from 6 March 2019 to 19 July 2019 after resignation of Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan. On 20 July 2020, he was appointed provincial minister of Punjab for Fisheries and Wildlife and stayed in that role until April 2022.

He was elected from Muzaffargarh, South Punjab in the 2018 general elections at the age of 25. He belongs to the well known Khar family. He is the son of Malik Ghulam Rabbani Khar former Minister and Member of National and Provincial Assemblies and brother of Hina Rabbani Khar former Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

The Politics of Muzaffargarh takes place at the municipal, provincial and federal levels of the government. ؐMuzaffargarh is a multiethnic, multilingual, multicultural and multireligious city. Tthere are one Municipal Corporation, six Municipal committees, thirteen Town committee and five Thesil councils according to he Punjab Local Government Act 2019. At a national level, Muzaffargarh is very important in provincial and national politics.

Tehmina Dasti is a Pakistani politician. She is daughter of Amjad Hameed Khan Dasti and granddaughter of Abdul Hamid Khan Dasti.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 Pakistani by-elections</span> Pakistani by-elections

By-elections were held on 8 National Assembly and 3 Punjab Assembly constituencies in Pakistan on 16 October 2022 and 1 National Assembly seat on 30 October 2022. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf got a landslide victory by winning 7 out of 9 National Assembly and 2 out of 3 Punjab Assembly seats seats whereas the Pakistan Democratic Movement, an alliance of 14 parties, was only able to win 2 National Assembly seats and 1 Punjab Assembly seat.
