Provincial road 34-27 (Turkish : İl yolu 34-27), named the Samadıra–Kartal connector (Turkish : Samandıra-Kartal bağlantısı), is a 9.9-kilometre-long (6.2 mi) highway that connects the motorway O-4 to the state highway D.100 in Istanbul, Turkey. A provincial road is governed under the responsibility of the respective Turkish provincial government, and bears the license plate number of that province in the road identification number's first half. It is one of the three connectors between the two roads in the Istanbul metropolitan area. The route begins at exit K2 on the O-4 and heads south through two large parks, the Kayışdağı and Aydos forests, until reaching Kartal and connecting to the D.100. After the interchange, the connector becomes Sanayi Cad. ("Industry Avenue") and continues as a surface street. The connector was built in 1991.

Sultanbeyli is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 29 km2, and its population is 358,201 (2022). It is located inland on the Asian side of the city. The mayor is Ali Tombaş of the Justice and Development Party. Sultanbeyli is a landlocked district, bordered by Sancaktepe to the west, Pendik to the east and Kartal to the south-west.

Otoyol 2, abbreviated as O-2, locally referred to as 2.Çevreyolu, TEM yolu or TEM in Turkish—which refers to Trans-European Motorway, is a motorway in Istanbul, Turkey that forms the outer ring road of the city connecting European and Asian parts via the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. It starts in Mahmutbey East intersection on the European part, where the Avrupa Otoyolu links, runs through the northern outskirts of the city passing over the Bosporus Strait, and terminates at the western end of the Anadolu Otoyolu, before the toll plaza is situated. Otoyol 2 is toll-free, but a two-way toll collection practice has been implemented on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. The O-2 motorway connects the European motorway in the west and with the Anatolian motorway in the east
Otoyol 3, also known as the European Motorway and abbreviated as the O-3 is a 245.1 km (152.3 mi) long otoyol in East Thrace, Turkey. The O-3 runs from Edirne to Istanbul and is the only motorway in Turkey located entirely in Europe. The motorway begins west of Edirne at "Edirne Batı K1" junction with the D.100 where it then continues as a beltway passing just north of Edirne. From there, the motorway passes through mostly rural farmland until it enters the Istanbul metropolis near Silivri. The eastern end of O-3 ends at the Istanbul Bağcılar "Mahmutbey Batı K20" Junction.
Otoyol 4, named Anatolian Motorway and abbreviated as O-4, is a toll motorway connecting the northwestern Marmara Region to the Central Anatolia Region in Turkey. It runs parallel to the D.100 for more than half of its length and then parallels the D750 for most of the eastern half. The O-4 is a major expressway in Turkey as it connects eastern Istanbul and the heavily urbanized northeastern shore of the Sea of Marmara to the nation's capital, Ankara. The O-4 also makes up part of the International E-road network E80 and E89 as well as the AH-1 of the Asian Highway Network.

D.110 is a 172 km (107 mi) long east-west state road in Turkey running from the border with Greece, near İpsala, to the junction with the D.100 in Kınalı. Located under the Pendik interchange on the D.100 in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Pendik, Istanbul, it was opened on 10 October 2016 along with the 5 km (3.1 mi) expansion from Kartal to Pendik. It is the closest station to the Turkish State Railways' Pendik station, located 1 km (0.62 mi) south. IETT offers bus service to bridge the gap.

Kartal is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Kartal. It is located beneath the Kartal interchange, along the D.100 State Highway in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood. Kartal was the eastern terminus of the M4 from its opening in 2012 to 2016, when the line was extended further to Pendik. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 17 August 2012.
