<span class="mw-page-title-main">Bulawayo</span> City and province in Zimbabwe

Bulawayo is the second largest city in Zimbabwe, and the largest city in the country's Matabeleland region. The city's population is disputed; the 2022 census listed it at 665,940, while the Bulawayo City Council claimed it to be about 1.2 million. Bulawayo covers an area of 546 square kilometres in the western part of the country, along the Matsheumhlope River. Along with the capital Harare, Bulawayo is one of two cities in Zimbabwe that are also provinces.

Inyathi is a village located in the Bubi District of Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe that grew from colonization by missionaries in the late 19th century. The Mission itself sits upon around 2,729 hectares of land. Inyathi is about 100 kilometres (62 mi) from Bulawayo and has a number of gold mines that have inspired both corporate and illegal mining.

Marist Brothers Secondary School, Dete (MBSS), otherwise referred to as 'Marist Dete' is a co-educational (mixed) boarding secondary school Dete, in the Hwange district of Zimbabwe’s Matabeleland North Province. The school was established in 1972 and is part of the international family of Marist schools run by the Marist Brothers, a Catholic society founded in 1817 by Saint Marcellin Champagnat in France.

Mzilikazi High School, is a government-maintained F1 secondary school named in recognition of the Ndebele king Mzilikazi, the founder of the Ndebele Nation. The School is in the city of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, located along the Old Falls Road, a road that used to link Bulawayo with the Victoria Falls. It is located very close to the famous Mpilo Hospital of Bulawayo. Mzilikazi High School is physically located between Greenspan Suburb and Mzilikazi Township.

Founders High School is a public high school in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. It includes both day and boarding students.

Nketa is a high-density suburb in the city of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The suburb is divided into sections from Nketa 6 to Nketa 9. It started its development in the early 1990s and the major portion of the suburb was built using loans. It boasts of a library and clinic and a good number of primary and high schools.

The House of Khumalo is the reigning royal Family of the former Mthwakazi Kingdom. The Mthwakazi Kingdom was founded in 1823 by Mzilikazi kaMatshobana. While the Mthwakazi Kingdom ended in 1894 with the First Matabele War, The house has endured to the present day.

Mpopoma High School, which is also known as The High School, is a mixed government day school that is located in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The school was established in 1959 and is known as one of the best schools in the City of Bulawayo. The school has an annual enrollment of 1500+ students and uses the double-shift system to deliver lessons. The School motto is Vela Mfundo meaning Show Up Education. In addition to having notable alumni in many parts of the world, Mpopoma has excelled in both Academics and Sports.

Pelandaba–Mpopoma was a constituency represented in the National Assembly of the Parliament of Zimbabwe. Located in the city of Bulawayo in eastern Zimbabwe, it comprised the high-density suburbs of Imiyela, Mabutweni, Matshobana, Mpopoma, Mpopoma South, and Pelandaba. Its most recent MP following the 2018 election was Charles Moyo of the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance.

Pashor Raphael Sibanda is a Zimbabwean politician who was elected to the National Assembly of Zimbabwe in the 2023 general election. He represented the constituency of Cowdray Park as a member of the Citizens Coalition for Change. In October 2023, Sibanda and a group of CCC MPs were expelled from Parliament following a letter by Sengezo Tshabangu, who claimed to be interim secretary-general of the CCC.
