Harare, formerly Salisbury, is the capital and largest city of Zimbabwe. The city proper has an area of 982.3 km2 (379.3 sq mi), a population of 1,849,600 as of the 2022 census and an estimated 2,487,209 people in its metropolitan province. The city is situated in north-eastern Zimbabwe in the country's Mashonaland region. Harare is a metropolitan province which also incorporates the municipalities of Chitungwiza and Epworth. The city sits on a plateau at an elevation of 1,483 metres above sea level, and its climate falls into the subtropical highland category.

Glen Norah is a high-density, working class suburb in southwest Harare, Zimbabwe.

Highfield is the second oldest high-density suburb or township in Harare, Zimbabwe built to house Rhodesians of African origin, the first being Mbare. Highfield was founded on what used to be Highfields Farm. It is of historical, cultural and political significance to Zimbabwe and is known as Fiyo in local slang. It is one of the birthplaces of the Zimbabwe African National Union and is home to several prominent people in the country such as Gregy Vambe and Oliver Mtukudzi, and formerly Robert Mugabe.

Mbare Musika is the major trading market for vegetables and fruits in Mbare suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe. It acts as the distribution centre for agricultural produce in Zimbabwe. It is also the major bus station for rural bound and incoming transport. It has been the most important and significant trading and transport centre in Zimbabwe but has fallen into disrepair in recent years.

Amos Bernard Muvengwa Midzi was a Zimbabwean politician who served in the Cabinet successively as Minister of Energy and Power Development and Minister of Mines and Mining Development from 2002 to 2009.

Hwata is a senatorial constituency in the Senate of Zimbabwe. It covers the following parliamentary constituencies in the House of Assembly of Zimbabwe and which are situated in the west of Harare.Hwata is one of six senatorial constituencies in Harare province. This senate seat was named after the Hwata Dynasty which was founded by Shayachimwe in the 19th century.

Cornway College is a private, co-educational, day and boarding school in Mount Hampden, Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe, which is 16.5 kilometres from the Harare Central Business District. Cornway College was established in 2006 at its present location. It has a preparatory school and a high school. The language of instruction is English.

Bernard Thomas Gibson Chidzero was a Zimbabwean economist, politician, and writer. He was independent Zimbabwe's second finance minister.

Glen View is a high-density suburb that lies on the border of Harare Province and Mashonaland West. It split between the two provinces, with the larger part on Harare’s side and the remainder on Mashonaland West side under their governance of Zvimba Rural District. It is believed to have 160,000(6.4% of Harare’s population) people although the Zimstat says it has on 45,000 people. It shares boundaries with Budiriro on the North (4.341km), Glen Norah on the East(4.0km), South and West being Mashonaland West. It is divided into 8 parts namely Glen View 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 1 Extension and Riverside. It has around 15000 residential stands which ranges from 200sqm to 500sqm with most of them averaging 10 people per house.

Zengeza 1 High School is an urban, day coeducational secondary school in Chitungwiza, Harare Province, Zimbabwe. It has a student population of 2000 pupils and 90 teachers who enroll in two sessions. It has 10 classes for each grade from form 1 to form 4, and 3 classes at advanced level categorized as Sciences, Commercials and Arts.

Clive 'Mono' Mukundu is a Zimbabwean music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist largely known as a guitarist. He is also an author. Mukundu has featured on more than 1000 albums and over 200 singles from 1988 to date.

Obadiah Moyo is a Zimbabwean politician and former hospital administrator. In 2018, he was appointed the country's Minister of Health and Child Care. On 19 June 2020, he was arrested and charged with three counts of criminal abuse of duty as a public officer, for his alleged participation in a scam that involved tens of millions of dollars. After spending the night in police cells, he posted $50,000.00 bail. On 7 July 2020, the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa dismissed Moyo from the office of cabinet minister, removing him for "conduct inappropriate for a Government Minister".

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Tonderai Kasu</span> Zimbabwean politician

Tonderai Kasu is a community and corporate leader in Zimbabwe. A medical doctor by training, he was the substantive Director of Health and Environmental Services for Chitungwiza, and has been the Acting Town Clerk or Acting Chief Executive, of the Chitungwiza Municipality.

Yvonne Musarurwa is a Zimbabwean politician and political rights activist. She is Proportional Representative Member of Parliament and the current National Youth Chairperson of the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance. She is also the chairperson of Environment, Tourism and Climate portfolio of the parliament of Zimbabwe
